I don't see what the heck is next for TC. Garcia and Porter are tied up with one another for the WBC strap. Thurman going take a tune up, then possibly jump into the Garcia-Porter winner to get his strap back. Either that or Spence gets the Garcia-Porter winner although Thurman would be due the fight I'd believe. Just seems like Spence/Thurman want to clear out the showtime side first.

Khan would be a big name for the resume and probably a KO. But he probably won't risk anything until the Brook fight. Pac Man already said he wants nothing to do with Crawford (don't blame him). Jesse Vargas is a showtime guy, maybe, seems like a Broner rematch in the works though. Maybe Matthyssee after Pac Man but he might be coming off a loss. Maybe Lamont, but he is coming off the Spence loss. That's about all the relevant names at Welter. Don't see TC moving to 154 unless it's the right fight, he isn't going after Hurd or Charlo. Makes no sense for him to move back down or anyone to come up.

I guess if I was TC I'd just fight my nobody mando to get that out of the way. Unless they can convince Spence to do it later in the year Crawford is kind of boned for a big fight next. My guess is Matthyssee or his Mando.

If sadam Ali goes back in weight. Crawford needs to avenge for his loss. Sadam Ali was the reason why Crawford didn't get in to the olympics

Not expecting a huge fight next. Being with Top Rank limits his options somewhat as I doubt he fights any Haymon fighters and they make up the bulk of the top end of the division.

With the likelihood that Thurman, Spence, Garcia and Porter are out and I don't forsee Khan or Brook until the fight each other that leaves these options most likely:

Winner of Granados v Fortuna - solid enough contenders but would be an expected blow out.

Lejaragga - too early and unknown in the US.

Benevidez - highly likely, both with Top Rank, both undefeated, Jose is/was highly regarded before he fell of a cliff. No longer think Jose is high up on Top Ranks list of fighters so would sell him out. Is enough of a draw to get away with though it wouldn't be a huge fight.

Could get someone solid but unspectacular like Chavez, Avanesyan, Van Heerden, Herrera or Alvorado for a tick over.

Matthysse will put himself perfectly in the frame if he beats Pacquaiom. Pacqiaio would still do it for the right payday as well I reckon but again it depends on how he looks v Matthysse.
