even if he wins this weekend, he is coming to the end of his career.

I see JMM beating him over 12 though, Marquez is more intelligent and 9 times out of 10 brains beats brawn in boxing.

Depending if it is a good fight I think he could well fight JMM again. he also loses to guzman imo.

I also feel lightweight is a step too far for Pac.

Im not sure I agree with JMM being a smarter fighter. I think that Pac just thinks that what he does will get to a guy sooner or later in a fight. And Pac has gotten better with his boxing since the first fight with JMM. My problem with that is JMM said that he didnt give Pac any respect going into the fight the first time, and the way that he pretty much won every round after the second would back his statement.

Its going to be a great fight, I cant wait to see how it unfolds.

in PAC vs JMM I, its a myth that Pacquiao only won 3 out of 12 rounds. One judge gave PAC 7 rounds and one judge gave him 5 rounds but scored it a draw instead of a Pacquiao win because of a technical mistake.

Over time the actual reality of the bout gets distorted. JMM only won more then 7 rounds on 1 scorecard.

I went back to watch the fight the other day and score it. Unfortunately, I only got to the 7th round.

I scored every round after the 1st (with a possible execption of the 2nd) to Marquez, but I want to watch the rest before commenting more.

Judges have no impact on how I scored it, or the perception of many people that Marquez swept many rounds.

I need to finish watching it, right now I have Marquez winning several rounds in a row.

No I don't see it being a pointless fight at all

Money talks and Valero would be a legit contender despite of health due to his appeal and record.
Manny would gain a popular win, its a potentially exciting fight many want to see and there are plenty of venues outside the US where this fight can earn more 'bucks'

If Pac loses to Marquez soundly . . . he should reconsider his stand if he still wants to fight or concentrate on other activities.

He can admit it or not . . . but he is not fully dedicated to the sports anymore.

People have distorted view on scoring. Pacquiao landed more than double the shots JMM did in round 2. Most of them being power shots. Just because JMM was not going down, they were inclined to give him the round. The round 2 was as clear a round as any in the history of boxing without KD yet people still make it a blur cos they were so in awe of JMM not going down after going down 3* already...

To answer the OP, well he will still be an elite aswell as very exciting fighter so he will have a great future as long as he wishes to continue. He did find bouncing back after loosing to Morales. A fight with David is most likely outcome or JMM rematch.

No what that shows is that one of the judges, Steward was watching another fight then the other two. Steward gave pac all but one of the final 5 rounds were as the other two gave him a combined 3, which meant that JMM won the fight. :huh

Look there is no rule that says you have to score a round 10-6 for three knockdowns. Even it the judge said he COULD have score it 10-6. It dont mean that he had to.
