I went against the majority and picked Parker to beat Zhang and I'm super happy for him. He's been busy and has always faced stiff competition, I just feel there's a lot of room for improvement, one of the biggest areas being ring IQ.
He's still getting trapped in the corners and against the ropes by these much slower fighters. Never a good place to be.
    Thanks for the answer.

    Thanks for that.

Parker kept circling to Zhang's left, which is something you should not do against a southpaw, something that every fighter ought to know, you think someone in his team would have told him that.

How flawless do you expect him to look? Because if a 290lbs fighter at the level of Zhang pressures you something got to give.

What he did well was neutralize Zhang’s jab with his own in the first round. It looked like they were just pawing at each other but that kept Zhang from establishing the jab and pinning Parker down.

Parker’s feints and head movement were good as well. Zhang got frustrated with it.

Plus he's kept busy having 4 or 5 fights in the last year or so.

    Fair play to him.

Well he did go down twice so there is definitely room for improvement. I liked the feinting Parker did but I expected better footwork from a much younger lighter man.

He's won 2 fights back to back as the underdog, so he's not doing anything wrong.

Great activity level and it’s paying dividends for Parker. I’d like to see more counter punching from Parker.

He fights too many Brits and he's also made the cardinal sin of fighting Brits back to back

His first foray up to Brit Level was against an undefeated Hughie Fury in the UK who many believe took him to slick school and was robbed blind

Then in his very next fight he took on an undefeated AJ in the UK

Then after losing to AJ he took on Dillian Whyte in the UK

I feel he was hard done by in that one as Whyte was allowed to foul the crap out of him and was saved from a KO defeat by the bell but you don't fight two Brits back to back, let alone three and all in their backyard either

He went 1-2 after foolishly embarking on that Brit Level run

But then a few years later he made the same mistake again when he fought Chisora, Chisora, Massey, and Big Joe Joyce back to back, again all in the UK. Many feel Chisora was robbed in their first fight, Massey gave him a much tougher time than expected, and Big Joe knocked him out

I love J-Park but he struggles badly at Brit Level and there ain't no shame in that either because everyone does. Fact is everytime he steps up to Brit Level he struggles but when he steps down to US Level and the other lower tiers he fares way better.

Let this sink in. Hughie, Massey, Chisora, Whyte, Big Joe Joyce, and AJ all did way better against J-Park than America's greatest HW of the last 25 years did. Every single Brit he's fought put up a way better fight against him than The Dosser did

And of course you swallowed up the bull**** about Wilder-Mr. Excuse himself- having a bad right instead of being able to watch the fight and see how Parker was taking that right away from him.
Parker has the best current win streak in the HW division.

Exactly. Parker took his right away. And he is getting better and better at doing this.
