The Messer stick Last spotted at Mcdonalds consulting,Big Banging Big Tits Wellier,The only severely inflicted punishment was Welliver chowing down the quarter pounders atsch
So, anybody taking Williams very seriously now for having shut out a fat Welliver? :think Figure he's able to clean out the NZ and Oz heavies based on that? I mean, according to Messy, beating Williams ought to have been a springboard for Welliver to do just that. :!:
Hard to disagree with any of this. SBW would destroy Gallen, in fact, I don't think that fight should even be sanctioned.
think Paul Gallen should put of fighting SBW on hold, a fight against Liam Messam might be almost to much for him.
It was a great fight and a great event. SBW is the real deal. He's close to Lucas Browne's level already. I think his ceiling is higher. As for Chauncy....he needs to drop 50 pounds to start beating these guys. He's gotten too heavy and the plow in behind the crab style is just not working to win rounds. He needs to drop the weight and again work behind the jab like Joe Hip had him doing very well when he was slimmed down. Right now he is too big to effectively use the jab and while it is impressive that he can bulldoze up to and through everybody while taking their best shots....winning is more impressive. That is only gonna come from losing weight.
Before you people go crazy about Browne and SBW levels I will clarify more of what I mean. SBW outboxed Welliver in a little better shape than he was vs Browne for 8 rounds. 7-1 8-0 territory. Browne cheated and landed a head butt in the 3rd round that blew the eye out fracturing the socket. At that point it was 2-1 Browne and the first 3 rds vs SBW were way more SBW that the first 3 rounds were all Browne. The last 2 rounds of the Browne fight were bogus rounds after what should have been a 3 rd NC due to accidental foul. But Welliver took everything Browne had for 2 whole rounds without being able to see the punches coming and then...FINALLY....the ref/doctor stops the bout. SBW proved way more against Wellliver and landed the better shots overall. He could likely give Browne a run for his money next month. He would definitely not be out of his league. But still nobody can knock Chauncy down.....we need a new angle and we need to give the very weak punching Aussies and Kiwis the chance to do the impossible and continue on the quest to Knock Chauncy Welliver Down.....right now they are failing miserably and have not even shaken him a single time. Chauncy "THE BOUNTY HUNTED" Welliver. A promoter should ink him to a fight deal and put him in against some of the top punchers and offer a bounty on him. Small guaranteed purses and then big bonus money if they knock him down. Use the fact that he is about to pass Oliver McCall for the longest HW round streak actively without going down. And chasing down George Chuvalo for the longest streak ever. To legitimize the streak as he passes Chuvalo adding on nothing but top hitters is the way to do it. It could be a very entertaining and profitable promotion series. And if Welliver manages to stay on his feet without giving up the bounty he would make the promoter working with him a ton of cash as they would only surrender the smaller guaranteed purses weighted down by the potential of the bonuses. I think he can walk through everybody who is out there today. And I know damn well there is a big market of people who want to see Chauncy get dropped on his ****. The time to capitalize on Welliver's stock and entertainment value is now while the iron is hot. Even a super fighter vs Welliver tournament would be a great sell. 3 rounds for Tua. 3 round for Meehan. 3 rounds for Leapai. 3 rounds for Haumono,. Put the names in a hat and draw order...put the bounty on knocking Welliver down....and lets see if 4 men with the opportune ity to go all out for 3 rounds each can manage it. People would by this event like crazy. And Welliver would walk through it like the Living Sweet Chin Music Legend he is.
Competitive hot dog eating maybe? :think I'm sure he'd give Takeru Kobayashi a run for his money. (at least more than he did any of his recent opponents in the ring :!
Hell no! imo it was a pretty pathetic performance for both SBW and Fatboy. SBW played it safe because he was still traumatized by the Botha fight and thought he may gas himself out if he actually had a good dig. Fatboy didnt even box, he just bargged in and threw body shots that had no effect. SBW is am amateur, fatboy should have used his experience and out boxed SBW, idk what his game plan was but it was pretty sht.
IB, why do you seemingly hold SBW to such a high standard? Why would you even be talking about or have expectations about him being "the real deal"? He is a complete and utter novice with no background in the sport. Welliver may well be an obese novelty act, but he still has a 55W 11L record mostly beating his fellow journeymen. Certainly in NZ boxing he's long been the next best after Parker/Tua/Cameron. I'm not saying that's any great praise for Welliver, I'm just confused as to why you would expect SBW to be above that level and why you seem to be so reluctant to give him any praise for it? Isn't it kind of impressive that a guy who is basically a non-boxer is even at (or above) the Welliver-esque journeyman level? As such a boxing lover, isn't it actually sort of ****ting on boxing, or at least the standard of boxers generally, to not even be surprised that a complete novice is capable of competing with actual boxers out there (even if they're not very good ones)? If you were to train up a top boxer for a few weeks and throw him into rugby, even at a pretty low level, he'd probably be far worse than SBW is at boxing.
