So news came out that Mayweather wants the fight at 147 agaisnst Canelo. Obivously its early negoations so we shall see what happens but thats a wack move by Mayweather and he knows it. What im wondering is what the hell is gonna happen on Sept 14?? This could put Showtime in a tough postion they dont want to be in and Mayweather will put them in it. Say the fight doesnt happen. Canelo already has Cotto lined up, Mayweather doesnt. Say Canelo gets so pissed that Mayweather didnt take the fight that he says no undercard! What will SHowtime do?? what if Canelo he wants to still fight on Sept 14 but no undercard? I know Showtime will take the Mayweather fight over a Canelo fight but this could get UGLY!! Canelo-Cotto is a good match up! Wether u think Cotto is shot or not that would still be the best fighter Canelo has ever faced. strongest puncher, more experieneced. Mayweather vs. Garcia Throw on undercard fights with Mares, Santa Cruz, and Angulo. Khan can't happen due to religious roadblocks. Garcia is the most legit among the 140 pounders unless Matthysse beats Lamont, which I do expect. Even then, Garcia "brings more to the table" in terms of revenue, that's the one I think will go down... Canelo would be amazing.

Why do people ask things like this? I dont care how big guys like Canelo or Cotto are. They arent Floyd. He's going to override anything. If he wants the date then he's getting the date. Stop overthinking it people. Canelo's one big one doesnt override Floyd and he hasnt had one PPV yet. They would give Floyd the date and just let Canelo fight Cotto in October or November or December. Its not really that big of a deal. If you think they will let Canelo override a guy that just got a 240 mil deal and just did a mil PPV buys for the 1st time for there network in a hundered years then you dont know business. Do you really think Canelo needs a Mexican holiday when he's Mexican and a huge star? You put it a month or 2 later and all of those same Mexicans will buy it. Mexico vs PR sells no matter what, not to mention its the biggest Mexican & PR stars of the bunch. They dont need that date
