Lloyd Honeyghan - Donald Curry is up there.
Bernard Hopkins - Tito is a masterclass.

Always thought Hopkins-Trinidad is a good shout in terms of a fighter clearly formulating a game plan, calling it perfectly and executing it to a tee. It's the simplicity of Hopkins' performance which made it so great, in a lot of ways. Just remarkably clear in his mind about what Tito was bringing to the table, and how to negate it - everything else was just made to look peripheral. Seldom do you see a fighter's strengths as comprehensively taken out of the equation as Trinidad's were in that fight.

I don't recall anyone predicting Morrison W12 Foreman when that fight was announced. (LOL)

For a guy with terrible breathing issues during fights, and not the best chin, Morrison managed to completely change the way he normally fought to get that win.

Different sort of thing, but one of the most impressive showings I've ever seen when talking about ring IQ and gameplans, is Hagler-Duran. Duran put in a masterclass, and while he didn't win, he gave Hagler the hardest fight of his title reign, and did much better than any lightweight ought to have done vs Hagler.

Lionel Rose vs Harada, Mustafa vs Marv Johnson. And underapprrciated Eddie Davis vs Spinks. Despite the loss, plan was excellent

That's a great answer for sure. That left hand just had Hagler piling on the breaks, never seen anything quite like that tbh. It was ****ing crazy.

Chiquita Gonzalez v Michael Carbajal II - After getting starched in their first fight, the big slugger Chiquita turned Willie Pep and completely outboxed Carbajal.

Rodolfo Gonzalez v Chango Carmona - Carmona was a monster slugger and sent Mando Ramos out on a stretcher in his last fight. But the Gonzalez camp watched films how Carmona was the boss when he was the aggressor, so they met him head to head forcing him back onto the back foot where he was lost. Gonzalez stopped him in a whitewash performance.

Ruben Olivares v Art Hafey II - Ruben, the slugger, was starched in their first fight in 5 rounds. But Ruben was very versatile. In the rematch he came in in shape, prepared to go 12 rounds and fought a speedy, pure boxing style where he was like a matador to Hafey's bull, winning a 12 round decision.

Marlon Starling v Lloyd Honeyghan - Starling fought a counter-punching masterpiece against the hard-punching Honeyghan. Keeping a tight guard in his peek-a-boo style, he picked off everything Lloyd threw and made him pay everytime before stopping him in 9. Magnificent strategy.

Eddie Mustafa Muhammad v Marvin Johnson - Eddie clearly worked on the left hook body counter to Johnson's southpaw jab. Dropping Marvin in the 3rd and simply battering him on the inside everytime before stopping him in 11.
