Recent fight has to be Dorticos,he was taking bomb after bomb, uppercut after uppercut until finally in the twelfth round he could no longer take it but boy he was tough and I remember CST80 saying as much in his round by round scores.

Golovkin v Canelo,GGG took some huge shots off Canelo and just carried on walking though I do differ to most GGG fans in that I feel he can and will get hurt before he retires.

If Canelo can land more huge shots from the hip again he could drop Golovkin, tainted meat psy op aside I never thought I’d favour Canelo hurting GGG over the other way round.

Saunders said about why Oscar never lets Canelo near him as he’s big at the weight, can take a shot and can move.

Funny thing Iron chins in that they’re only iron until they finally break.
Kell Brook is a good example, thought he could get extracted out of the GGG fight before getting hurt but didn’t turn out that way and then Spence kinda followed suit though credit to Spence for having the skill to chip away at the eye.

lewis destroyed briggs with a few solid punches, vitali couldnt hurt him in 12 rounds, so much for that theory.
not really worth bragging about vitalis power being better than a 50 year old mans, but if you must damn him ith feint praise, you may.

briggs has a good chin though, and vits is a decent aggregate damage puncher.

Presumably someone has already said Vitali eating Lewis's uppercut, but it bears repeating.

Usually I tend to take what fighters say with a grain of salt in these type of questions, such as “Best I’ve ever faced” in The Ring. Their egos and pride always get in the way, such as James Toney claiming that Mike McCallum (not Roy Jones) was the best he faced, or Azumah Nelson picking Mario Martinez over the likes of Salvador Sanchez and Pernell Whitaker as his best opponent.

Look at the incredible modesty of Marlon Starling, who picked Donald Curry as having the best skills because “he reminded me so much of me”.

Mustafa Hamsho vs Hagler and Jeff Harding against Dennis Andres
both had incredible will power and Hamsho refused to break despite
50 plus stitches in his face and Harding a badly broken nose and
smashed face virtually surviving a beating a exhausted Andres in
    a amazing comeback.

Oscar has timed it to perfection. He knows GGG is sliding, that's why the fight was made. I too think if anyones going to be hurt its GGG. He's slow as hell these days compared to 2/3 years ago, to the point he cant land his power shots without being countered, and hes going up against a great counter puncher. I'm a big fan of his, but you cant ignore what your eyes are telling you.

Totally agree,I’m not knocking Oscar for it as it’s just how boxing works but I do feel Canelo is gonna get little credit for the win as like you say Golovkin has literally gotten old in front of us,in those first three rounds he was even being beaten to the jab.
I think Abel knows the score and will of noticed during sparring his decline, even still it says a lot about Golovkin when at this stage in his career he can still beat a 27 yr old Canelo jacked up on Mexican beef.
Last word on the beef cause folk will believe what they want but in Canelos own words he doesn’t eat red meat during training so had this happened outside of this you could go with it but for someone who said he doesn’t eat red meat in training and then pops dirty blaming red meat is a huge red light as far I’m concerned.
Golovkin will take the fight to secure his future and he may just think he can turn the clock back and who am I to argue as rematches often do go down the same way as the first fight.

Yeah, sign of a great fighter for me. Past prime but still able to win against very good fighters in Jacobs and Canelo. Abel Sanchez seems to think he's got years left and a move up to 168 inevitably, I disagree. This one against Canelo, and if he gets through it, Saunders. I fully expect him to lose against BJS by the time it happens, his movement will be a nightmare for him at this stage, and GGG's jab isn't what it was. If GGG had made good money sooner in his career I don't think he would do the rematch with the result of the last one and whats stacked against him, plus this with the tainted beef bull****

His ability to take punishment was inhuman. I feel like Wepner gets remembered more for his heroic effort against Ali and the fact that he inspired an iconic movie franchise, but people forget Chuck never saw the final bell against Ali; he also spend a good amount of the last rounds running unlike Tex.

Wepner inspired Rocky Balboa; I'll bet Cobb inspired Homer Simpson. Dude was all chin and didn't even (appear to) hit all that hard. The stoppage he got against Shavers was due to Earnie's gas tank running out if we're being honest.

I reckon that’s just propaganda from Abel,he’s a brilliant teacher/trainer and will of seen what we see and yeah Saunders would beat him now which is no surprise as Saunders said himself about four years ago that GGG would of beaten him and Eubank in one night,BJS for all his crap is very honest about himself.
I’m afraid now Golovkin doesn’t have the snap he once had on his punches and it shouldn’t surprise us as nobody can beat Father Time and also I’m not sure I’ve seen another trainer that works his fighters as much as Abel at Big Bear which is why only a few can fit in up there as it’s just pure hard work from the looks of it,just made me wonder when I heard of him having knee troubles some of the training methods like pulling big weights across the floor on a rope, could be wrong though?
