    Hearns-Duran was just ungodly.

Hearns-Cuevas was pretty bad too...It was like Hearns drilled Cuevas through the mat. That said I don't think it fits in this category.

Good one, a lot of people forget what a hard puncher Leonard was at 147. Green was out cold for a few minutes. I'm still surprised at how Duran was no more than just stunned after Leonard landed 3 flush bombs in a row several times in their first fight.

One that has always been my favorite is Joe Louis against one of his lesser opponents; i keep forgetting his name. He throws a right hand, Louis steps back and lands a right uppercut, left hook. Power punch combinations just came so fluently and natural for Louis; you'd think he was a lightweight.

Robinson's hook to KO Fullmer. The fight ending shot Dempsey landed on Firpo, as well as the KO left hook against Sharkey, sucker punch or no, it was a thing of beauty (And besides, what was Dempsey supposed to do? Write him a letter?). Any knockout punch delivered by Joe Louis, especially the series of hooks that put Walcott away in their rematch. The right hand Johnson took Ketchel out with (Johnson put so much in it and was still so groggy from the knock-down he tripped right over Ketchel and landed on all fours, hilarious, even though I'm a Ketchel fan)

More recently, and not officially a knockout punch, the hook that sent Hatton into the turnbuckle in his fight with PBF. Marciano's right hand against Walcott in their first fight. Hearn's right hand against Duran. Walcott's left hook against Charles. Though it wasn't officially a knockout punch, but it was a fight ending punch, the right hand Baer landed on Schmeling in the 10th. Floyds left hook against Ingo in their rematch. The right hand Schmeling KO'd Louis with. The right hands that Duran decked Kobayashi with.

The right hand Rahman KO'd Lewis with. Another more recent one, and also not officially a knockout punch, but I'm a big fan of the left hook Mosley knocked Vargas down with in their remacth. I also have a soft spot for those two straight rights Dempsey nailed Brennan with in the 12th round of their second fight, I love the way Brennan is doubled over and covering up after eating a left hook and Dempsey decides to just wale away on his body till he goes down.

I also dig good liver-shot knockouts. The best examples of which that I've seen would be Ward's over Gatti, Margarito's over Cintron and Hatton's over Castillo. Funny, all recent fights when most of my other favorites are from way back. What a strange coincidence. Man, I'm gonna ****ing lose sleep tonight over that, I'm tellin ya. Sorry if that was a little more in-depth than you wanted, and also sorry if I got any of my facts wrong, however that might happen, just wanna cover all my bases. That's just how I do things. Oh, and also sorry for including a few that weren't officially 100% pure KO punches. Bases officially covered. Peace out.

I watched Leonardin the amatuers and closely in the pro's..he had serious power, speed, leg movement and Killer instinct...watch the Any"the Hawk "Price fight if you doubt it...Leonard had a shorter prime than he could have if he did not suffer from out of the ring experience..Coke and Woman

A few mentions of Lennox Lewis in this thread. One of his best ones was a single straight right hand that KO'd Mike Weaver back in '91. Beautiful punch.

Mike Weaver-John Tate? Or was it Dokes? They all had a triangle of great knockouts in the early half of the eighties.

Tyson's right smash on Spinks. Extraordinarily quick action for the heavyweight division. Resuming the fight after being floored, Spinks throws a right directly at the head which Tyson, thinking kill and charging forward, somehow slips beautifully and immediately comes back with a perfectly leveraged right that somehow catches the elusive Spinks flush on the button. It seemed choreographed. The crushing blow catapulted Spinks back and onto the canvas just as fast as he had lunged forward with his own ineffectual Jinx. Those legs quivered briefly and the anguish on his face looking up at the lights is unforgettable.

This to me is magnified by the very high stakes involved in the fight. 91 seconds!

Marciano ko's Walcott with straight right in first fight. Watching it still makes me nervous for Walcott.
