Santos Laciar's 15-round decision over Frenchman Antoine Montero in 1985. Laciar gives a clinic in how to fight a southpaw.

Graham's previous fight before the Douglas bout was a close loss to Mike McCallum, not exactly the mark of a washed-up fighter.

The first things that sprang to mind, were Mickey Walker's draw against Jack Sharkey, and Billy Conn's losing effort against Joe Louis.

I guess that winning is not everything.

I think I was never as impressed watching a fight live as I was in Mayweather vs Corrales.

    But others:

    Hopkins vs Pavlik
    Cristian Mijares vs Jorge Arce
Then, Vic Darchinyan vs Cristian Mijares

From old footages before my time:

Julio Cesar Chavez vs Edwin Rosario
    Joe Louis vs Max Baer

just from the top of my head right now...

    Salvador Sanchez beating Wilfredo Gomez.

Sugar Ray Robinson stopping the strong, young, awkward Randy Turpin with blood streaming down his face.

They thought Sibson was through after his defeat and matched him with the younger, fresher Mark Kaylor. However, Sibbo defied the odds and punched out a decision.

Wait, sorry, I haven't seen that.

I was thinking of Gilberto Roman's stoppage of Montero.

    Poor Montero.

Montero had powerful backing in France (the Acaries brothers) and got three shots at a world title, against Laciar, Roman and Gabriel Bernal. He lost all three.
