I should clarify. I would like to see the best boxer, not neccesarily the best quality footage. I have also seen some of that footage and I agree its amazing to watch. Makes you nostalgic for what it may be to watch these guys with the same quality footage that we see today.
The colour back in them days was so rich, its beautiful some of the footage:good Some of the more knowledgeable posters on here should be able to help you out Raging Bull I think, has lots of fight footage, he may know
I have his list of footage of SRR and have posted it here if anyone wants to chime in: This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
His welterweight fight with Fusari is on film; the condensed foreign version is on youtube. He had a fight against Bobby Dykes a few months after that as a middleweight and that's not too hard to find on film. And finally there's a 10 minute highlight film of his 1946 fight with Angott, from when Robinson was about 24 years old.
Jack Dempsey already posted the condensed Fusari fight, but there's an extended version that runs about half an hour. As for the Dykes and Angott film, unfortunately, I don't have them in my possession, but I do see them being advertised on some sites.
Yeah theres nowt for free on the net that I could find for those bouts and thats the best I can find of the Fusari fight:good
