i remember in the maidana fight with morrales, morrales woould like roll with the punches instead of blocking them to me it minimized how hard he was going to get hit since he rolled with the punches. i really liked seeing him use that

it is obviously his defense. It is pretty outstanding for a 35 year old still be questioned as does he have a good chin is bc he hardly gets hit.

Andre Ward style. ie no style. Hands high at times, head movement at other times, walk into them other times, hold when you want. Very safety fiurst style and perfect for amateurs.

You don't want a shell because you will get pounded. Doesn't score points but the damage still gets done. You don't want exclusively the hands down head movement style because sooner or later you get caught moving onto a punch, which is not cool. And the Philly shell on the inside is great, but not against all fighters. You gotta mix it up and not commit to one style, or you get figured out easily.

Roy Jones in his prime never even got hit, thats the best style.

However you must be blessed with freakishly great reflexes and natural speed.

Because there are no better. :nut:nut

But the best style would obviously be the George foreman, knocking them out early is the key to not getting hit.

I'd go with Bhops defensive style. Obviously you don't have the reflexes of a Floyd Mayweather Jr Hopkins chin tucked in and counterpunching and rough housing style is a better style to learn. Also El Terrible would probably be undefeated if he opted to box instead of trade or go toe to toe. In his prime and Floyd's he beat Mayweather in sparring by using a feint here and feint there, a counterpuncher's nightmare.
