In terms of mainstream attention. Is it:

    Holmes-Cooney
    Leonard-Duran I
    Hagler-Hearns
    Leonard-Hagler
    Tyson-Spinks
    Holyfield-Tyson II

    etc.

Well I think Hagler-Leonard was pretty big I remember even my parents watched that! I think once you get into the 90's it goes to PPV and the exposure to the public is more limited, although both Tyson v Holyfield fights must be front runners since the 90's.

    Tyson/Spinks
    Holmes/Cooney
    Hagler/Leonard
    Hagler/Hearns

Honorable mention for more recent times. Trinidad/DelaHoya. It was pretty big for its time. The fight itself sucked and that probably turned off alot of mainstream sports fans who couldve become boxing fans.
