I had Witherspoon winning with points to spare.

I thought Witherspoon won, they should have had a rematch.

Larry deserved the decision, but Tim deserved a rematch.

Damn close fight. There should have been a rematch. Tim Witherspoon was, when ready, a fine heavyweight. If he had won there would have been a rematch, so maybe that would have been the best outcome. For me it was a tossup.

It was a COMPETITIVE but CLEAR win for HOLMES. Since Holmes is an ATG and Champion and Spoon was a young contender - people start adding handicaps. To demand the most from Holmes as champion, people overdo it. Just because he didn't KO 1 (exaggeration) Spoon, people have doubts. My first line says it all. Inicidentally, I have him round 9 (one judge agreed with me).

It's a pretty decent fight, with a great 9th round.

Among Holmes's defenses, I thought the Weaver fight was the most entertaining.

...........Nice support group we have here. :D Not sure why I haven't ever seen it. I got into boxing in 1983, and have seen a hell of a lot of stuff via tape and DVD of older fights since, but never really sought out that one, for some reason. Even bought a collection of 20 Holmes fights on Ebay, and it wasn't included. :|
