For sure BJS could ask for 1 more round. Duran on the other hand, simply was not in his usual shape but his heart was also no where to be seen.
Difference was that BJS hadn't already beaten Canelo and wasn't being clowned. He got his **** pushed in in one round and decided it hurt too much
He was being clowned. If you want to say he didn't have the heart to get through the clowning that one fight, fine. One fight does not define him though. He had all the heart in the world.
One fight should not define a fighter as should one moment define a mans life, the difference is BJ is a clown and Duran more then once proved himself worthy.
Duran took a lot of **** for that quit job. The only reason he is looked favorably upon now is because he took on several greats in his era. Billy Joe Saunders has fought Canelo and that's it. He didn't fight Cotto, GGG, Jacobs, Smith, Plant, or any of the threats in his weight class. If he had shown more appetite for big fights vs big pay days people would be looking at him different.
Lip service. I pay ppv money to watch boxers prove they are the best, not read fans hypothetical opinions.
