Cheers mate. Like I said, I know where you're coming from, and there are utter morons who do have the double standards of which you speak...it's just my humble opinion that it isn't applicable in this instance. :good

Unfortunatly, rightly or wrongly, your posts on anything related to Calzaghe lacks legitimacy in the eyes of many... :yep

Shame, as you do make some good points on occasion.

De la hoya is 4 years younger than RJJ. He's never been brutally knocked out like RJJ. He's been in competeive fights over the last few years. Whereas RJJ has fought nobodies (prince baju, hamshaw) and fatties (trinidad). Oscars last three fights - mayorgya, mayweather and forbes. No comparison between de la hoyas last theree oppoenets com pared to RJJ. Oscar has fought the tougher oppostion. Clazaghe slaps, pacquaio is explosive and has a fan friendly style. Pacquiao doesn't dance around the ring like a gay boy! I could go on and on..........

Joe's win over Bhop is more impressive given that Bhop is still very sharp even at 44....BUT...he is still cleary past his best days. Jones was far more washed up than DLH. Jones has been KO'd TWICE and was unable to beat a blown up, washed up Tito Trinidad.

DLH just last year almost upset FLoyd Mayweather Jr who was in his prime. DLH then went on to beat Stevie forbes in a onesided match although he did take more shots than normal.

Manny's win is by far more impressive than Joe's win over Jones jr. Not only b/c of DLH only being 35 and not being war torn by years of battles, but b/c Manny moved up TWO divisions to face DLH. Actully it should be 3 divisons since Manny only had a fight at 135.

Lastly....Manny completly DOMINATED! JOe dominated too but no where near the level that Manny did against DLH.

    .........and please don't!

DLH is 4 yrs younger than RJJ?

Ok, but Pacquiao is 6 years younger than DLH and Calzaghe is only 3 years younger than RJJ.

As for the dancing round the ring like a gay boy comment, i'm not sure what point you're trying to prove by that....

Bottomline of the thread is that yes Pacquiao's win was more impressive than Calzaghe's win over Jones, but that it is clear bias and kind of embarrassing those that are giving immense credit to Pac for beating what turned out to be a shot fighter whilst giving none to Calzaghe for also beating a washed up Jones. The only chance both Jones and DLH had in the end was a lucky punch.
