This is blatantly obvious. This thread is so disappointing.

far nearer to his prime means nothing when you admit the fact he's washed up. totally and utterley washed up.

both good wins, not great .
pacfan, you went out of your way to discredit joe calzaghe, you seem to try to do it every day, but by coming out and claiming pacquaios win over a similary shot legend to be something special when calzaghes was nothing short of a disgrace you have shown yourself once again to be woefully inconsistent and biased.

He didn't answer any of those questions, you were right. A flimsy attempt to discredit a great win is becoming ever flimsier as this thread continues.

Calzaghe fans, have some dignity. There are numerous reasons why Pac's win over Hoya was much more impressive than Calzaghe's win over Jones. These reasons should be pretty obvious. I know Calzaghe gets a lot of flak on this forum, but at some point you have to stop trying to blindly defend his every action. It does no good to try to artificially inflate his resume. Calzaghe was able to cash out and get a nice little win against a faded former great that he was widely expected to beat. Let's not try to make it out to be more than it was.

I'm a brit but find the calzaghe fans are talking rubbish. There is no comparison to what Pacman did v DLH and what Calzaghe did v Jones.

Stonerose are any of the posts and posts of common sense being spoken on this thread coming through to you yet, or do you still genuinely think Pac's win over Oscar and Joe's win over the cadaver of Roy Jones are of comparable value??

DINAMITA you could be a good poster if you was not so biased, you post half truths and look for facts/reasons to back one side of the arguement only, to try and make a boxer you like look good or a boxer you dislike look bad.
You never give a balanced even handed view point, you may be able to fool lots of the posters on here but you don't fool me.
When somebody takes the same one eyed approach as yourself you don't like it !
    Like i said with an even handed approach you could be a good poster, but until you take your blinkers off lots of people wont take you seriously and this will harm you when you compile your ATG lists ? {fanboy insome cases, hater in other cases}

i did answer the question. i said earlier in the thread pacquaios win is more impressive due to the weight jump and the fact he stopped him, but this is somewhat balanced by the fact that at least roy jones put up a ****ing fight .
again, the thread was aimed at the cocks who slated calzaghe after a dominant win over a ( game ) faded legend .
cocks who started threads saying calzaghe should never have been in a ring with jones, cocks who said it was a worthless win .

Could I be a good poster mate? Could I really?

I wouldn't wipe my arse with your approval, I've read your posts and they are a lot of biased and ill-informed dog****, so save your advice for someone who cares.

I love how this thread has exposed all the hypocrit pac nuthuggers who weren't giving credit to calzaghes win over jones:lol:

shut up pacfan. read my original post. i give credit to all fighters, you choose to slate fighters for your own weird reasons no matter what they do. you completely ignored the performance of calzaghe and just concentrated on the fact jones was shot. for this fight you have done the complete opposite. so kiss my arse.

Then I'm happy to be a ****, as Calzaghe should never have been in the ring with Jones and it was a completely and utterly worthless win.

LET the PURE CALZAGHE fans answer this..

DID he (calzaghe) ever FOUGHT 3 WEIGHT DIVISIONS in a span of ONE YEAR?!

    Marquez at 130lbs

    David Diaz at 135lbs

    ODLH at 147lbs

Oh! I'm sorry CALZAGHE can NEVER DO THAT! Moving out of his comfort zone. FIGHTING 90% of his time in UK is already a risk WHAT more if HE MOVES up the WEIGHT!?!

Oh yeah! CAlzaghe left his comfort zone when the great fighters were already in the TWILIGHT of their careers! RJJ 38 AND BHOP 43 YRS OLD

To be fair, De La Hoya was also a punching bag in there and Jones looked a threat for the first couple of rounds. De La Hoya looked no threat at all.

I thought Oscar was going to win before the fight though, so was pleasantly surprised and I still give Pacquiao credit for the win. As I give credit to Calzaghe for the Jones win.
