What is the earliest year in which you would favour Tua to beat Holyfield?

Could Tua have outworked Holyfield in 1997 and won over him?

    Would it be 1998?

    1999?

2000? I mean this Holyfield was struggling vs Ruiz so Tua would certainly beat this version.

Holyfield looked great against Moorer and Tyson in 1997, but weak against Bean in 1998, even though his opponent was no different. In the first fight with Lennox, it was clear that Holyfield was old and hadn't fought anyone like him in a long time. I think that was the moment when Tua would have knocked Holyfield out, even though the fight with Ike was devastating for him and he got worse year after year. Tua's prime was 1997.

2006 onwards Holyfield and I'd give it to Prime Tua.

In my opinion, Tua would have had more and more chances to beat Holyfield from 1997 onwards, in 2000 he had a lot of them.

Tua was at his best in '97, specifically the Ike fight, but Holyfield was still in good form by that point and I think he'd beat Tua quite handedly. I think up until after the Lennox rematch, he's just too good for Tua.

So a 2000s Holy could lose to a 97 Tua, but as for a specific year, I'm not sure there is one.

Definitely from 2000, cause Holyfield looked very good in the Lewis rematch, after a poor effort in the first fight, and I would favor this Evander to beat everyone not named Lennox that night.

It's not on the poll but 1994 when Holyfield had his poorest performance of the decade vs Moorer in their 1st fight.
