First 5 rounds? Talk like a ****** Pacquiao fan. Cotto vs Pacquiao for the first 3 rounds was not close to Hagler vs Hearns. Fight of the year is easily Williams vs Martinez cause it was an awesome fight between two great top fighters that can both crack went toe2toe. Marquez vs Diaz was a great fight but Diaz can't crack. Berto vs Collazo was a great fight but Collazo doesn't really hit hard.

I was about to mention that one. It was a give-and-take war.

Pac-Cotto was not the fight of the year, the fight was not competitive,it was a one side beatdown....Marquez vs Diaz was fight of the year

Williams - Martinez was a classic. Fight of the Year. The only thing missing was a KO at the end.

I dont understand why Berto - Collazo is on the list. It wasn't a great fight. Collazo outclassed Berto and was blatantly robbed.

Cotto-Pac was undoubtedly the event of the year...

But no way in hell does the stomping out of Cotto qualify over these other brawls as an actual fight of the year.

I think you put this well. When I read this thread title, my mind went to the Pac/Cotto fight. Nothing else got me as hyped beforehand this year, nothing else seemed quite like watching history getting made, watching an ATG fight and soundly beat a gutsy warrior...

So it will be the fight I remember the most vividly. But as a FOTY condidate? Not so much. Far too one sided for far too much of the fight.
