I actually count 6.5 pounds to 150. Pacquiao weighed 6.5 pounds when he was born and won his last title at 150. Pacquiao is the greatest weight climber of all time.:deal

HENY ARMSTRONG - 10 MONTHS of gigantic proportions

There ha been many suggestions of the greatest achievement, and in my opinion any boxer winning one title is not an unusual achievement. some would say the the "Cinderella Man" Braddock defeating Max Baer was a great achievement, but that is par for the course and no different from a LEON SPINKS defeating a MUHAMMED ALI. In both cases Ali and Baer were sort of legends in the minds of some, but each was capable of being defeated, and they were.

Some may consider the last title defense by JOE LOUIS was a great achievement and it was, but te greatest achievement does not come close to Henry Armstrong's achievement of winning three titles in 10 months.:happy

Many ordinary achievements are often dramatized to the point of appearing to be a great achievement but in reality most are just regular happenings by a boxer who is popular by the many.:deal:rasta:smoke

To be considered as a great achievement it must be a one of a kind moment
So what events in boxing history are one of a kind moments that have stood the test of time. If it is not HENRY ARMSTRONG's dates with destiny in winning the featherweight, lightweight and welterweight titles then it is time to pack=up the tent and go home away from this journey into boxing history.:hi:

Terry McGovern's accomplishment of KO'ing the Bantamweight, Featherweight, and Lightweight champions all within a similar span of 10 months (he went 20-0-1 with 18 KO's during that span, avenging the draw by KO) while being little more than a Bantamweight himself is almost on a par with Armstrong's achievement.

If it can be something that doesnt go with actual boxing its Max Schmeling hiding jews from the Gestapo. I don´t think you can do anything comparable!

A smaller, older, slower, lighter, shorter Roberto Duran outfighting a prime Sugar Ray Leonard at Leonard's weight was probably the best single win ever IMO, but probably Armstrong would have to go down as the greatest overall achievement.

However, being an irrational fanboy ******* for a moment, Pacquiao knocking out Sasakul for the lightweight title in 1998 and then stopping Miguel Cotto for the welterweight belt in 2009 is pretty stellar stuff, by modern era standards. 112-145.

Tommy Hearns-Virgil Hill and Roberto Duran-Iran Barkley were also special achievements IMO.
