Lennox v Tyson. Hard to believe some pundits gave Mike a decent chance in retrospect.

Boza-Edwards vs Elizindo went the distance but Elizondo took a hell of a beating.

Roberto Duran vs Davey Moore. Duran utterly ruined Moore that night.

Duran vs Moore was a man vs child in terms of fighting experience. Curry vs Mccory. Curry just completely exposed Mccory. 2nd Holyfeild vs Qawi. Holyfeilds coming out party, Hagler vs Mugabi, Mugabi had a few moments, But Hagler in the end ruined Mugabi, he would never be the same. Louis vs Smcheling, #2, a ****ed off Louis just went straight for the kill, Ali,vs Terrell, what's my name?

Nor would I. A weight drained Jake was leading 6-2 after eight.

Yup, agreed. And Moore was imho, pretty good. At the time Duran was seen as another notch on his pistol. Almost nobody favoured Roberto ftw. Boy, were the ****ysts ever wrong. :deal

Muhammad Ali-Bob Foster. Frazier merely steamrolled BF in the second round as Smoke should have done in the opening seconds, like he did to Ziggy.

Ali actually clowned and played with him despite being cut, dropping him seven times with singular punches, the last for the count, and never really went for the kill. It looked like Ingo-Patterson I at times.

Bob kept getting up, would fire away, then Muhammad would taunt with his wobbly knees act. For all intents and purposes, this was a rare one punch knockout win for Ali, coming at the outset of the eighth round following the rest period. (Blue Lewis also should have been a one punch KO win for Ali, but Lew Eskin's fifth round count lasted over 14 seconds.)

Yeah, even though it was a horrible beating, it was a competitive fight. Margarito-Cotto 1 was also a competitive fight (Cotto won 5 of the first 6 rounds IMO) that was a terrible beating.

I was very impressed with the shorter LaMotta's double jab which he was landing quite a bit on Robinson.

Turpin, it's been a long time since I saw this match, but I recall it as being very competitive. I remember Elizondo as being a body-punching specialist. Again, it's been a long time so it seems like it's worth another look-see. I just checked and it is up on youtube. I remember agreeing with the decision but thought it was close.
