I don't think Hopkins - Trinidad was that bad. Hopkins edge came mostly from being stronger my vote goes to Hearns - Duran
Yes, but that fight was pretty much over with that one shot. I don't know if Duran even ended up with a bruise after that short fight. In comparison, the Dempsey-Willard fight ended up with Willard having a busted jaw, ribs, teeth knocked out, assorted contusions. Now, that's an ass-whuppin.
Scary how fast that punch is in slow motion! I have that, Manny's KOof Hatton and Tua's KO of Ruiz as the most savage KO's of all time. Foreman/Fraizer has to be up there. Poor Joe got LIFTED with punches!
Duran was getting whupped throughout. He got cut in the first round, dropped twice, and already hurt before that final punch. Granted, it's nowhere near Dempsey-Willard, but it was a whupping.

But that fight wasn't an 'ass whuppin'. I (help me) think Paret floored Emile in an earlier round. Plus, Paret's previous fight with Fullmer, in effect, set him up for the tragic ending in his fight with Griffith. Bobick-Norton comes to mind; we knew Duane was out of his league but geez o pete, he got waxed...and early!
Most of the good ones have been named already but Steele vs Dundee has to be up there. 11 knockdowns in 3 rounds.
That fight with Inoue was horrifying liver damage, broken ribs, his face a mask of blood and bruises and he was still screaming for them not to stop it. What a ****ing warrior.
