corrales vs castillo, i knew at the end of the fight that i just saw something special, a classic.
there have been few more compelling fights than hamed vs kelley. you have usa vs uk, both with 1 punch ko power, hamed humiliates kelley at the press conference, he makes an wwe like entrance, gets droped 3 times but came back to put kelley down 3 times and fight over. that was classic too

    All of the above?
Nice to see someone posting that has knowledge of fights dating back more than three weeks.

I think great fights happen when evenly matched fighters take on one another. They don't necessarily have to be A or even B class fighters IMO. I love them all, but my fav has always been the Derrick Jefferson-Maurice Harris showdown. Great back and forth action with a great ending.

Gatti vs Ward I will always be the greatest fight of all time for me as that was the time i got into boxing and there are so many memories attached to it.
But the other suggestions itt are also great.

Suppose it depends if you like the fighter that is involed in the fight or not

For drama I love the Castillo/Corrales fight, and Ward/Gatti

For sheer entertainment I love watching Duran and Leonard 1 - Feel so proud of Duran watching that fight back. What a performance

Barrera Morales 1 has to be mentioned.

Hamed vs Kelley...obviously not the greatest fight of all time but for total excitement it was top notch and i think it won fight of the year that year...1997 i think.

Has nobody mentioned Chavez Taylor 1 yet?

I think this is a generational thing. My grandfather would insist Ali-Frazier I and be correct. As would by dad for saying Hagler-Hearns or Pryor-Arguello. For me, Corrales-Castillo is the only fight I have never deleted from my DVR to make room for something else, so that's the first that comes to my mind.

Have to mention Ali-Frazier III 14 rounds fought amidst 120 degree temperatures. Amazing performances from both fighters, and the most controversial ending I have yet to witness.

The Castillo/Corrales fight was just painful to watch. It was best I ever saw.
