Hard to see past Laing purely because of the life he lived and the career he had before and after the Duran fight.

That wasn't Lloyd Honeyghan's problem. If Donald Curry was weight drained on the night he fought Honeyghan, he should've either learned how to cut down to 147 safely, or just bailed out of the Honeyghan fight and moved up to 154.

Blah blah excuses..ppl make p4p lists and at the time only Mayweather and Pacquaio was ahead of him. Thats a fact. Easy to dismiss afterwards! Martinez was an excellent fighter, was at the top of his game, was the number 1 middleweight in the world and a huge favourite to beat Murray. And Murray goes there to his hostile backyard the other side of the world and gives his best ever performance, dropping him numerous times yet is robbed of the official 'win'. Have some respect

My two personal faves are DeGale beating Dirrell to win the IBF Super Middleweight title and Kell Brook vs. Shawn Porter for the IBF Welterweight belt. Some of Khan's wins in the US I enjoyed too (e.g. Maidana).

I thought he’d beat him wider on cards.

Curry was No.1 P4P in the world along with Hagler at that point and was seen as the next Ray Leonard.

Cury was seen as invincible when Honeyghan beat him, he was being touted as an ATG and had a far better amateur record than Wlad did.

There is no such thing as ‘number one P4P’. Always makes me chuckle. It’s simply not real.

I don’t know anything about Curry’s amateur record? But pro boxing is not amateur boxing. They are different sports (if you can call pro boxing a sport).

Wlad dominated a division for a decade - Curry didn’t come close. Who’s to say Wlad wasn’t ‘P4P number one’ for 10 years? (For me on a head to head basis in his early to mid 30s he’s the best heavyweight ever.)
