If he wins for another 3 or 4 years, beats out all the hot shots coming up, top 3. Ali, Louis then Wlad.

You've given away your hand. If you honestly don't think if Wlado was to keep active and winning for another 10 years from now and on top of that beat Foreman's record doesn't deserve a least a chance of making Waldo the No.1 HW then you're clearly a clown with an agenda.

Will the above happen? Almost impossible.

It's amazing anyone is even willing to consider the idea that Wlad may somehow be the greatest heavyweight of all time. Rocky Marciano ruled a weak era and retired undefeated. Wlad got out three times by average opposition and shared the dominance with his brother in an even worse division than what Marciano was around in.

There is no way Wlad could ever rank above Marciano. I use Marciano but he's just one name of many. If Wlad doesn't lose again in his career I doubt he'll break the top 15.

The greatest heavyweight of all time does not get knocked the **** out by a fat, partially retired golfer in 2 rounds. Stop with this contrarian bull****.

Wlad & Vitali place in HOF is assured. First brothers to unify HW titles. It is just a technicality really.

I think you dodged the question: how many title defenses did Foreman make?

a technical reality? a technical reality is tko6.

no, its a sign of how weak the division is if two brothers can own the titles between them.

you are misusing the word 'unify', which implies one person, one body - 'uni', 'unit'. Noone in boxing history has ever saiod 'unify titles' when talking about more than one person. You are not excused to do so now.

How can you enter the HOF because of something that SOMEONE ELSE does? Does Cory Spinks get in the HOF for what his Dad did? Bloody ridiculous theory you have there, mate.

Unless he dominates for many years to come and dominates the next generation of prospects who look promising, it would be hard for me to put him in the top 10.

There are too many other fighters who have achieved more. Marciano and Holmes also fought in weak eras, but they dominated alone and were undefeated throughout their primes. Louis has dominated for longer and has done so alone and was undisputed/unified champion throughout his reign. Tyson, youngest champion ever, fought in a weak era also but was undisputed/unified champion and was much more dominant, he ruled the division with an iron fist. Ali, Holyfield, Lewis, Frazier all fought vastly superior opposition.

As others have said, the era is weak, he's shared his title reign with Vitali and he has never been undisputed/unified champion and will not be until Vitali retires and he picks up the remaining WBC title. The 3 early losses to inferior vastly inferior opposition also lessen his legacy. While Lewis and Louis had a loss early in their careers it was only the one loss which they learnt from, it took Wlad 3 devastating losses to learn from his mistakes and adjustments. Not a sign of a great fighter.

If he fights at least another 2 years and has 6 or more fights after Wach beating guys like Povetkin, Pulev, Fury, Mago, Price, Szpilka then he'll really help himself. 2010-2012 has been quite slow but there is solid crop of young HW's all ready to start challenging. Some of these guys will go on to hold belts after he retires so if he beats several of them his legacy will get better into the next era. If that happens he could possibly get in the middle of the top 10 if some of the contenders he beats end up having a respectable reign themselves.

    Number 2, just under Lewis

Those guys didn't get the advantage of being able to fight sub 200 lbs guys.

inb4 standard klit haters saying it is the weakest era ever while Sonny Liston is an ATG with 24 wins on fighters who lost the previous fight before and 31 wins on fighters who either lost 1 or 2 fights in their last 2 fights.
