Ironically that was the fight that made Lewis a British boxing legend. Prior to that he was hated in Britain and regularly was booed in his fights against Bruno etc. That was the fight that won him his acceptance amongst The Sun reading type of casual British fan.

I kind of blame that on Lennox. When you claim to be British, Canadian and Jamaican it is hard for any one nation to call you their own. It is also why he couldn't take the same f' you to HBO/Showtime attitude that Wladimir took.

People from Germany, Eastern Europe and Russia will watch but the rest of the world doesn't even know this fight is happening and those who do don't care. Heavyweight boxing is dead and has been for sometime.

The fight has zero historical significance.

Here's a good forum for you here mate.

Not much point you being here when there's only the most important fight of the decade taking place.

Yes, it is clear the interest of those countries and that region does not count. If they're not talking about it in Djibouti, it's worthless.

Unbeaten at 34 with only 26 total bouts with his best wins against a shot Byrd and shot Rahman. The rest a host of nobody European hwts. Oh yes this is a superfight for the ages! Two walking statues pawing at one another more like it.

Hey I'm a boxing fan first, and any fight that tests Wlad is a fight worth watching. Like it or not it's the best match up there is at the moment.

I like the way both Klitschko and Povetkin behaved like champions at the weigh-in, showing mutual respect and good sportsmanship.

So people are complaining about Pov having only 26 fights and mostly against Europeans.
And when it was Haye it was a super fight :!:

Don't forget Wlad ducked Chisora with his 14 fights and a handful of AM too.

Never said that....I am the guy who says Wlad was koed by 3 nobodies. Not just koed...fall down in sections, laughable ko's. knocked out 3 times in a manner no great hwt should ever be koed. Oh yes Wlad is also the greatest walking statue in hwt history.
