I have been a little out of the loop on what has been going on with Spence since the Crawford fight. I know he had initially said he would activate the rematch clause; I assume he eventually just changed his mind on that? Also, has there been any news on whether he plans to fight again anytime soon and who it may be against?
Last I heard was him fighting Fundora in October. And his now former trainer Derrick James sued him a few months back. James alleges that he is owed millions.
Interesting. Is James saying that it’s all money owed from the Crawford fight or does it go back multiple fights?
Still can’t believe, Pac signed to fight Spence back in 2020 and the fight was cancelled.. Pac should have fought Crawford and got decapitated..
I just now noticed that Spence is still in the Ring P4P Top 10; that’s pretty surprising to me. Also, how is Bam Rodriguez ahead of guys like Beterbiev, Bivol, and Tank? Here’s the list: 1) Usyk 2) Inoue 3) Crawford 4) Canelo 5) Rodriguez 6) Beterbiev 7) Bivol 8) Davis 9) Spence 10) Nakatani https://www.ringtv.com/ratings/?weightclass=251 I’d personally have guys like Teofimo, Shakur, and Benavidez over Spence at this point.
There hasn't been any news about him locally. Keeping a low profile, I guess, which in his case isn't a bad thing.
He’s angling for a Crawford rematch at 154. He’s fighting Fondura in October for the WBC/WBO and whoever wins between Crawford vs Madrimov will be the mandatory for the WBC and in the interim WBO champion.
Why would somebody ban Zhoby? What was his crime? May I intercede on his behalf? On topic: I hope Spence buys himself a new Camaro, outruns the Arkansas State Police (no mean feat) and opens a gym for young guys comin' up. All these dudes have made piles of money. Yet (except for Bud Crawford) they don't mentor anybody. Wtf?
The word I'm hearing in the streets of Sydney is that Spence is out and we will be getting Tszyu Fundora 2 next.
Could of swore he said he was mulling retirement but based on the other answers I guess I imagined it.
