What is the legend behind Teddy Atlas's scar?

I believe his story was he and a friend got in a street fight with a handful of thugs and one of them pulled a knifed and cut him. Maybe the real story is he tripped and fell over a nail sticking out of his couch or some **** but whatever.

 

He looked at himself in a mirror for more than the 5 seconds it usually takes him to brush his hair. It fought back.

I heard from one ESB member that he makes a microscopic cut to the left side of his face for every wrong boxing match winner prediction he makes. It's added up over the years.

 

Truth is it was street fight. He has said it in every interview and it is in every bio. 400 stitches to close it up. Teddy is a bad New York mother****er.

Damn so many Atlas haters on here. I hear more **** about Atlas on here than I do about "bang bang" Lampley. The **** is up with that?

 

I read somewhere that Rooney( i think) derisively said something to the effect that he did it to himself to get respect or something.

I heard same. I read two interviews he gave back in 1980's, each giving different versions of how he got it. One, in interview with Ron Scott Stevens, he says he was fighting and beating up 4 guys when their friends al jumped in, and one cut him. It was in magazine Stevens was editor for. Other one he says it was in car, either he was driving by, or someone drove by, and slashed him.

 

I heard he was the main player in a bukkake party when someone released a particularly stoked up shot and this was the result.After this incident he insisted all shot throwers were fluffed for only 20 seconds to reduce the risks of it happening again.Before it was stitched i read somewhere that his party trick was blowing cum bubbles oot of the wound until one burst violently in his eyes and nearly caused momentary blindness.He contradicted this story by saying his momentary blindnes that he nearly had was caused by freeing 35 American prisioners from a Vietnam hellhole single handedly with no involvement from the yank government when he was captured and the gooks yarked out his eyeballs and replaced them with pineapple grenades with the pins pulled out which meant if he blinked they would be set off.So i read anyway.
