What is the main reason Floyd chose JMM as his next fight?

Pretty much that answers it. Pac showed him up by beating his last two opponents much more convincingly so now he wants to show up Pac by beating Marquez convincingly.

 

To build buzz for the Pacman bout.

Its clear as day.

 

Several reasons:

1) JMM is an extremely high-profile opponent, and supposedly it would get people excited about the comeback

2) It allows PBF to shake off rust against a skilled opponent where he doesn't have to worry about what's coming back at him. Fighting someone without skill won't help his timing as much as someone like JMM. PBF risks missing puches a bit, getting hit a bit - but all-importantly, there's little chance of him being hurt, and so he can afford to make the mistakes he's entitled to make after such a lay-off.

3) People would mistakenly count it as a great win, thus boosting his ego even more and boosting the delusions of the blinder fans of his by an equal amount.

 

He knows JMM at WW will be easier pickings.

 

Because of Manny ..I think MW wants to show Manny how to beat JM ..

Suddenly the past is no good when it comes to Mayweather..so all of Shane's ducking and excuses are ignored.

 

Because many poeple felt that JMM beat Pac and he's the #2 P4P fighter in the sport.

 

Floyd took this fight because its his best way to make more money in the long run by taking this option, JMM is a respectable opponent, he wins, he fight Pac, he loses, he probably still fights Pac.
And Floyd's sure he can win for many reasons, JMM smaller, probably does not have the power to hurt him, has had a lot of hard fights and I believe is getting towards the end of his prime.

 

Very winnable fight....JMM is good enough to fool the public into thinking this is some great matchup...and because he's ranked by fanboys @ #2 on some fake ranking.
