    Run 8-10 miles a week (Sun-Sat)
2 sparring sessions a week minimum of 6 rounds each session (3mins -30sec rest)
    - Biggest thing I find with sparring is getting a fighter to be comfortable with being in the ring with lights, loud noise and a crowd. The more intense and realistic the sparring is to a actual show/event the better. Also the need to sparring people from diff area/styles is critical.
8-12 rounds of bag work 3 times a week (3mins -30sec rest) followed by poly-metrics
Add any other preference work outs

Of course every trainer is different but this what I usually did before a fight.
Some people are just naturally a better fighter even without training.
I trained for close to a year before my first. Did great.

There's no timeline on this. If you have a good coach he will match you fairly even on your first bout. You'd need a reasonable level of boxing fitness and a solid foundation of the basics. Plenty of sparring to find out what level you are at. Best of luck in your career, enjoy it

Two or three months I would assume . At least at my old gym. After my coach saw a fighter improve on all the equipment in the gym and assess stamina and strength during sparring you should be ready to go. I don't feel like the win is important. The end game is the experience gained toward the next competition.

Stay away from fighting all together if you are looking for shortcuts or to just do enough to get by. If your in there to fool around your just wasting brain cells for no reason
