My pick would be when the ref PHYSICALLY helped Cleverly back to his corner against Kovalev after the third round. He didn't stop the fight or counted him out, instead he put his arms around him and carried him back to his corner. lol

Your picks (you can make several) doesn't have to be whole fights, but can also be single moments during fights where the bias shines through.

Most recent that comes to mind was when Smoger and Hopkins fought Murat.

    Ottke V Reid........ End thread

Although he would have still lost it was pretty obvious had some kind of issue with Hatton (or was it his fans and the booing of the anthem). Compare the Hopkins calzaghe and Hatton Mayweather fights and you will see what I mean.

Amir khans long count V limond was a little suss as well although I can almost make an excuse for it

Roger Tilleman warning Robin Reid for punching poor Sven Ottke in the face.

    More recently
Raul Caiz warning Allan Green for desperately trying to get out of Ward's armlock while hitting him with the other.
Terry O'Connor carrying Cleverly to his stool when the bell sounded while he had already intervened.

The first Mares v Agbeko fight was the worse ref job I have seen recently.

That's my pick. Russell Mora's actions basically won the fight for Mares. He called a knockdown on Agbeko in the first round that wasn't a KD. He refused to take a point away from Mares after at least 20 or so warnings for low blows. Worst of all, with Mora having a perfect view, Mares hit Agbeko square in the genitals. Agbeko fell to the ground in pain, and Mora counted it as a KD.

Agreed that ref was truly ridiculous , he could not accept his boy was getting his ass handed to him LOL

My pick is that ref that was protecting Benn from getting put to sleep by G man in the first rnd back in 95 .

There was a fight in 1980, the first year of ESPN's Top Rank Boxing, against two local guys, and the local boxer got floored, I believe, five or six times. And the ref ruled them all slips and refused to even begin a count. He'd help the guy up, give him time to collect himself, and the local guy ended up winning the decision. Al Bernstein - who was new then - went insane. He interviewed the ref afterward, and the ref just smiled and said they were all slips. Bernstein even showed him replays where you could clearly see the local boxer getting hammered and legitimately floored, and the ref wouldn't change his story. I have a tape of it. I'll post it sometime (when I can post links).

More recently, Randy Neumann reffing the first Abraham-Miranda fight was pretty damn bad. He looked very corrupt. The doctor looked corrupt, too.

20 something low blows....no point deductions

a knock down from a low blow counted as a real knock down.

that guy should never ref a fight ever again.
