Which singular boxing match has the most combined skill in boxing history?

Cool question. Benitez vs Leonard and Leonard vs Hearns would be among the top candidates I would think. Other choice picks would be any of the Fury vs Wilder matches.

The first Joe Louis Vs Jersey Joe Walcott fight was known for being a very techinical match. The fight of the century two contrasting skill sets at their finest. Floyd Mayweather Sr Vs Sugar Ray Leonard. Tommy Morrison Vs Ray Mercer their respective skill sets are on full display on this fight.

I actually preferred Thomas Hearns Vs Wilfredo Benetiz to the Sugar Ray Leonard fight.

Yeah, that's a good one too Phil. PS - just saw your offering of Mayweather Snr vs Ray Leonard, another good one.

I would also add to the mix the first Jose Napoles v Hedgemon Lewis fight and Zora Folley v Eddie Machen.

A few more could be Packy McFarland v Mike Gibbons, Sugar Ray Robinson v Kid Gavilan, Howard Davis v both Meldrick Taylor and Hector Camacho and Donald Curry v Marlon Starling.

Without knowing for sure because of a lack of footage, I'm just going to assume it was probably one of the Ezzard vs Archie fights.

One can imagine the amount of skills on full display in those fights.

Harold Johnson fights with Ezzard Charles and Archie Moore are technical masterpieces. Harold Johnson himself has been in some great skillful fights.

The Napoles/Lewis fight was my first look at Jose, it was on a Saturday afternoon think the program was Grandstand or sum such, had read so much about him, his smooth style, the precise punches, all that made him great, from memory he schooled Hedgemon to a wide points defeat, the squats before each round, shorts with M on one leg and N on the other, the poised guard, the sloping shoulders of a true puncher, so much to be admired, he was to become my fav of the 70s ( just in front of Olivares ) and still in my top fighters of all time.
    stay safe buddy.

My go to fight on this subject is Leonard vs Benitez.
For 15rds this fight has everything any fight fan should
    want to study.
Proper use of the jab, foot placement, cutting off the
ring, traps, counters, combo punching, slipping, parrying,
WITH countering (Not the " I punch you block, you punch
I block" seen so much in so called world class boxing today)
strategic adjustments in the heat of combat from both fighters.
Defensive brilliance, especially from Benitez, (He made possibly
the fastest welter in history, look ordinary a few times.....He also
did it to Hearns who also was notoriously fast)
If their is one fight that demonstrates the top level skills of two prime ATG
fighters it's Leonard vs Benitez in my opinion.
But Hearns vs Leonard#1 and Hearns vs Benitez isn't to far off.
Also Duran vs Leonard in Montreal is top level combat, but from
a different perspective. The science of infighting, using angles in close,
grappling for positioning, Duran gave a master class to Leonard in
in close fighting, and to Leonard's credit, he adjusted to it after
having his ass handed too him early on, and won the last few rds
    of the fight......
And may have sowed the seeds of doubt in Duran's mind
for the 2nd fight, that lead to the infamous "No mas" incident
    in New Orleans.

Arguello vs Olivares would be good for teaching people the sweet science.
