Lockett barely ever touched Pavlik with anything

He was too busy getting his head rocked left and right

    Robinson vs LaMotta VI

No man can endure this kind of punishment

LaMotta could be hit by a truck and still be standing

    If you're looking for one-sided thrashings...Dempsey-Willard, Hearns-Duran, Foreman-Frazier I...

    If you're looking for evenly matched bloodbaths...Corrales-Castillo I, Gatti-Ward I, Ali-Frazier III, Frazier-Quarry I, Fullmer-Basilio...

Foreman vs Lyle was definitely the fight that popped to mind. Two big strong heavyweights trading blow for blow with both getting knocked down over and over until one couldn't get up again.

I was going to mention that one myself...how ironic that John Wayne, the king of the cowboy image, has a descendant that gets into an absolute war with the tough as nails Indian heavyweight Hipp.

Other recent ones I was thinking of I haven't seen mentioned yet were Tua-Ibeabuchi, Cotto-Margarito, and my overall choice..........

Monshipour vs Sithchatchawal. It's an absolute war that must be seen, and also happens to be the 2006 Ring Magazine Fight of the Year.

Monshipour was never really in a boring fight...the guy always brought excitement when he stepped into the ring.

Foreman-Lyle is an exciting match to watch as you don't know who's is going to be the last one standing as the bombs are dropping. The way Foreman rocks Lyle into the corner, pours it on and Lyles seemingly lifeless body drops to the floor is classic.
