What is the most difficult punch to avoid or block?

All things being equal, yes. Some fighters have inferior jabs and some individuals have lightning speed with a specialized punch (ie Tyson's uppercut) but in general terms jabs will always be the highest percentage shot, equivalent to layups in basketball...with hooks analogue to jumpers outside the paint and threes akin to rear-hand power shots.
