That would mean you gotta start thinking of getting involved with something other than boxing.

Rocky had a pretty good chin, but until he had greasy, lightning speed he was only a bum!!! ;-)

I'd say at least a "reasonable" degree of chin is mandatory for being a Professional Boxer that would like to achieve some measure of success.

Speed / Reflexes and Stamina are all up there, and a solid mental department really helps too.

This poll really demonstrates that the sum of the parts is what really matters in boxing -- even being short in 1 or 2 of these departments could be disaster!

Granted you have to have a bit of everything but stamina really is the number one. You can have Oliver McCall's chin on a lightweight but if he gasses he is getting stopped by a feather fisted tapper.

But that's the thing. We're talking the most important. If you have no chin to speak of, then stamina will never come into play unless you're always fighting feather fisted fighters. But assuming you havea chin and are reasonable adept in every department bar stamina, then you could still go far. You can stop fighters because you have a decent punch, speed, reflexes and boxing ability. Only when you get to the top level, will the stamina issue arise and you'll be found out. But without a chin, you won't even make it past the bottom level.

But for the record, stamina would be my no.2 priority.

If you have zero stamina your chin wont come into it. If you have loads of stamina and superb relexes you might get through some fights even without a chin... ****, Amir Khant did.

A gassed fighter cant do anything, a guy without a chin can at least try and avoid trouble.

Has to be chin. A fighter can lack one or two of the other attributes somewhat, but without a chin?

    Amir Khan.

But what was he fighting beforehand? And even then, he was in trouble. Kostya Tszyu apparently had terrible stamina. Hopkins stamina is coming into play because of his age and look at his last fight.

Other: Accuracey. Even if you dont hit "Hard", precision will win the fight. Example: Sweat Pea Whitaker.

And even he won an olympic medal and various titles up to commonwelth and inter-continental level with zero chin.

Tszyu had the stamina to go 10 rounds on many occasions. If he hadnt you would never have heard of him.

A gassed fighter's accuracy goes out of the window. You gas and you cant throw punches let alone accurate ones.

    Stamina > accuracy.

would be a combination of those i think, but it's probably chin or toughness for me. in a sport where the objective is giving (and taking) punishment, those 2 qualities are of the utmost importance.
