surely bruno comes above hatton, 2 tyson(the biggest draw of recent years) fights.

Plus he was as popular as hatton, had plenty of fights.

 

I don't know. Like you say it would be crazy money though, crazy.

And I believe Hatton took the UK PPV rights, I could be talking crap, but I seem to remember hearing that - and it was one of the biggest PPV's ever in Britain

One number I remember with some authority is the Tszyu purse. Stuck in my mind for some reason. Hatton got £900k, before he paid his team etc. Career high at the time. Seem to recall he was picking up about £400k for the fights leading up to it at the MEN.

It was revealed when his dispute to Warren went to court, Warren had to provide the contract which he claimed gave him options (but didn't). Tszyu's number I dont remember exactly but it was something like £3.5m.

 

I may be wrong but I'd guess Hatton keeps a bigger share of his income/ purses than Bruno ever did.

Particularly post-Tszyu when he became a free agent, bet they kept a huge slice of the Maussa money for a start

Apropos of nothing, yes, I do respect people who are shrewd. I aspire to be shrewd myself. However if you use it in the wrong way I don't respect that.

And NOT being particularly savvy doesn't mean I don't respect you either.

Mmmm....nah seems distinctly like another Hatton thread to me. The like of which the thread starter didn't want.

 

As a rough guide, whenever you see a fighter's pursue, reduce it by 60% and that is what they will 'take home'

 

It's just gone from Witters purses to who earned the most in British boxing...thats all.

 

Hatton's camp refused to fight Baldomir cause he wanted 50/50.

 

The biggest earner in british boxing is without doubt lewis, then not far behind would be prince naz and i would suspect that hatton will have overtaken eubank after the mayweather fight.

 

I would have thought Hatton had earned more than Hamed to be honest.

 

Me too. He's just had more big fights where he held the whip hand financially, with Zoo and Mayweather on top of that.
