Could be number of things. Maybe his injury during camp played a role, maybe he realized he couldn't get that low without draining, maybe he wanted the advantage, maybe he miscalculated and wouldn't make it in time. Who knows? He didn't need the extra weight.

Remember when Torrecampo KTFO Pacquiao? That one! Pac was the bigger man and still got KTFO for cheating on the scales. And it was for a TITLE fight :patsch :rofl:rofl:rofl

Pac didn't even offer monetary compensation. Cheap mofo. Has he no shame?

Andre Ward coming in overweight for his HBO commentating job is pretty unprofessional in my opinion. He's easily 180 lb + :patsch

People are clearly trying to forget that Floyd hadn't fought for 2 years and that might have played into him missing weight but to think that some of these fanboys use logic is illogical.

I think it is shameful every time a paid professional comes in over a weight they are being paid to fight at.

Mayweather is a small man, and has never weighed above 151, he couldn't even force himself to weigh 154 when he fought De La Hoya, LOL at you saying he weighed 170 the night he fought JMM. You sir are an idiot.

Floyd paying JMM off comes to mind in recent years. Quillin had a lot to prove with a long lay off, and missed weight against Lee last week.

The one that sticks with me is Mayweather coming in two pounds heavy against Marquez. He was already naturally two weight divisions bigger than Marquez, but he decided to bulk up and not even give the guy a chance. He looked like a middleweight in there on fight night when he rehydrated and refused to be weighed again.

Although, JCC Jr refusing to cut weight or train for his middleweight bout with Brian Vera was awful. He renegotiated the fight to 168, missed that and made it a light heavyweight fight which he then proceeded to lose, but earn a robbery decision for.
