Wild Card Gym? That's a laugh.. Kronk and the Dunde gym in Miami. I would take the Garcia's at La Colonia gym before Unsteady Freddie!!!
Wildcard right now, but they don't hold a candle to the old Kronk Gym. Miami 5th street Gleesons Romanza Robert Garcia is building a solid gym foundation Philly has died out really as a Boxing hot bed, you don't see fighters coming through with those sort of skills any more.
St. Mary’s Italian Gym in New Orleans when Whitey esneault was training fighters out of there. Freddie Little Ralph Dupas Willie Pastrano Bernard Docusen Maxie Docusen Tony Licata
The swipe at Freddie is tasteless as Rios 'n Margo's mocking his condition, BG. If you ever have a friend or relative struck by something like that, you won't be so quick to make a joke of it. The subject of the thread is 'What IS the most successful boxing gym in the world?' The accent on NOW. With Kronk gone and 5th ST. all but gone, in name only, Wild Card is the 2012 version of Stillmans. La Colonia's top-flight, with terrific fighters training there, but WC's still the first stop for international talent, 'n where every trainer wants his boxer to spar.
Of the still active gyms, Kronk is #1, Wildcard is doing great, Robert Garcia's gym is really coming in hot.
might want to change the title of the thread to most successful gym in the US, i can easily name at least three gyms in PR that had more world champs than any of the ones mentioned and not just boxers that came to train there after they were seasoned pros but boxers that were raised and made there from their beginnings :hat
