Yes, as if all Americans are Anglo. And Addie isn't even American. Haye is the most charismatic of the bunch you mentioned. Toney isn't charismatic... if you can't see the distinction that's fine. A bore like Wlad and Vitali aren't on the other end of the spectrum from charismatic. What's next, Ali wasn't charismatic. How DO YOU make the distinction (Seen you clearly have no understanding of the word charismatic).
Sorry, I can´t see Haye´s charisma. For me he isn´t better than Toney. But then this maybe because Wlad get´s tons of media coverage over here, including starring in movies and documentations on him, while Haye get´s none.
Anglo-American over here is used to descibe the connection between UK and US culture and mindset which is more the same than UK and continental European. Based on what? He is a bit more funny. Both are far more interesting and likable persons than Haye. So, I have no understanding of thw word charismatic? Why? Because I disagree with you? :-(
Yeah, of course. Just like I hate Jones and Tyson and am a big fan of Ruiz and Ottke. :rofl:rofl:rofl btw. this was irony.
I gave you an answer. I think it was pretty clear. No, I´m not. I´ve seen them since their pro-debut and live in the country where they get the most media coverage.
I'm trying to make sense of the notion that Wladimir Klitschko has more charisma than David Haye. That's all.
Read above. Wlad get´s plenty media coverage. Probably more than Haye in the UK. He is on TV once a week, has documentations on him and so on. Over here we see him not only surrounding fights like you guys do. And he has charisma, is funny and self-ironic. Haye on the other hand was on TV here once. The Valuev fight. I´ve seen more of him but everytime it had to do with his fights. And the only thing I saw was a loud ***** talking trash. He has some bright moments it seems but those are a bit rare.
Bodhi, David Haye is actually a really likable guy when the promotion is all over. I think I have more respect for him than you do not only because I see more of him, but perhaps you've not seen the footage of him where he's basically just telling the truth and not glossing anything over. He thoroughly admits to having weak punch resistance and say that's what makes him more exciting to watch. He take criticism on the chin, and to his credit, he has been very successful in the ring up until this point. I don't approve of some things he says, but it's all to market the fights. He comes across very well most other times.
You can't really judge charisma. I don't look at Mayweather, Toney etc., and say that they have charisma. Are they outspoken? Sure, but there is a difference between charisma and just being loud and brash. Whilst Haye is also outspoken, he has true charisma. Maybe it's the fact he says all that with a twinkle in his eye and get away with it, I don't know, but there's a difference between what he is doing and Toney resorting to childish insults and saying "mu'****a" every second word. You can't define charisma but Haye has it, just like George Foreman, Muhammad Ali, Jack Dempsey and Mike Tyson had it.
This may very well be. I don´t know of it though - it´s the same situation with the Klitschkos just the other way round it seems. I don´t think marketing a fight should be an excuse of some behaviour of his. Just like I don´t excuse Ali´s behaviour towards Frazier or his racist remarks.
Who gives a ****? Do these lamebrain athletes- in whatever sport- really entertain you with their contrived, uncreative banter? Are you that easily pleased? That whole "charismatic athlete" act is such a line of preening, wheezing queen antics. I could really give flying **** if an athlete ever speaks. Preferably they all stay quiet or have their tongues ripped out.
The most depressing and overly negative poster in the history of maybe not only Eastside Boxing Forum but the Internet itself. Cheer the **** up.
