Eddie reminded me of Sammy Goss in that he did the basics so thoroughly well. Fighting a who's who from the jr welter and welter class of his day the only fighter who really outclassed him was Jose Naples and theres no shame in that. A solid champion who doesn't get much writ here on East side.
I believe he holds the record for most countries visited by a fighter. I think it's 23 and several of them more than once. His loss record has to be taken with a grain of salt with so many on the road.
I havent seen the first one but the 2nd and 3rd Ortiz/Loi fights were Ortiz IMO. I like Loi a lot. He had a fun style and was a tremendous fighter but he didnt beat Ortiz or Perkins.
