what does a boxer have to do to be recognised pound for pound champion? why doesn't it follow that if you beat the man you become the man? also who decides this status? atsch
First question: you have to be considered the best fighter in the sport. Second questoin: If the best fighter in the sport is alot smaller than you are and you beat him, that doesn't necessarily mean you are better than him or than the other top fighters. Also, styles make fights. Sometimes a lesser fighter can beat a better fighter because of this. Third question: You decide this status. Since you're the fan.
It's really just an opinion. But as the majority of fans have Pacquiao as their no.1 he's generally excepted as P4P no.1. Boxrec actually have Pacquiao as no.5 on their P4P list.
hypothetically what would happen if breidis prescott fought pac and smashed him in a round. would pac still be no1 because of his recognised skills and achievements, also if prescott could do that to the p4p champ whos to say that he couldn't do that to anyone else p4p. just example, i know the 2 will never meet in a ring
Retired p4p-cahmpion This content is protected active P4P champ This content is protected THE REAL P4P champ This content is protected EDIT. So go figure who the Fook is P4P champ..:huh I meant not who but What because everyone seems to have their own reasons what makes someone the man... btw last guy is JMM to clear out:good
You have to keep beating the top fighters and they have to bigger and bigger than you. You should know, just like what Pacquiao is doing right now.
