#3 aint a slap, it's more like an inverted version of #1 (you throw the hook with back of the hand facing towards you). The angle of the wrist is great for inclose fighting, it's got a lot of pop and hurts less on the knuckles as far as my observation goes.
maaaan...get a trainer before u start learning improper techniques that'll be hard to fix in the future....or don't
I'm doin it by way #2, and i never plan on going amatuer or pro, its just backyard boxing anyway (read: hobby). i probably threw a lot of you off when i said #3 but that was just experimentating anyways
I won't go into hooks #1 and #2 since this has been covered. But on #3 hook, I fairly sure I've read that bare knuckle boxers threw hooks like this to protect thier hands. You can see Sullivan here really turning over the hook, it's not fully inverted the his palm is more towards him then his opponent. I'd stick to styles #1 and #2 though. :good [YT]tIfcYJpUig0[/YT]
