If that's so then Lennox Lewis is top 3 at least.

Bowe never got KFTO by ONE punch. It happened to Lewis not once, but Twice. Name me a great fighter....never mind top 3.....say top 10 who has ever been put out of a fight by a lone punch, even ONCE? Lewis hadn't accumulated any damage before being KTFO.......he simply got hit by single punches and it was lights out. All Time Greats don't lose that way. They also don't struggle mightily with a 37 year old, shop-worn Holyfield who was a midget by comparison!

London 2k - Lewis's longevity at the top shows him to be far superior to Bowe. Plus besides getting stopped by LL in the Olympic finals he clearly DUCKED LL. Why?? Didnt fancy his chances? His management at least didnt!

I just watched again that 2nd fight on Bowe v Golota and I cant get over how STUPID Golota was to do that 3 punch combo real low that got him his DQ. He had the fight won. Bowe was behind and clearly the second best fighter in there that night and he threw it away..again. Fool.

But as for Bowe he's spent - its fights like that above that take years off your career. That was a war.

On the contrary - his prime should have been longer as he clearly avoided getting hit - he ducked Lewis and even avoided Ruddock i t says something when he claims the hardest he was hit was off Cruiserweight Hide......Even when the odds were in his favour and he was beating up his wife, he had to use a fork!!

If we use Bowes incredibly short prime as a standard then I think we will start Having Buster Douglas or Oliver McCall down as ATGs witrh tghe difference being they didn't disgrace the sport by throwing a belt [which co incidently Ali & Frazier when close to death to obtain] into the garbage..

Bowe shouldn't even deserve a second chance in the sport!!

Bowe is more hype then substance and i cant understand why some people rate him so high... Lewis would of owned his ass again and Bowe knows it.

I have to disagree with this. Wlad's best assets are hand speed, power and movement. If his movement slows he will be pretty vulnerable. I don't think he has as bad a chin as many claim, but unlike Vitali or Lewis he can't risk taking big shots when he gets older. I wouldn't like to see him fight past 37 or 38

Yea, when a guy's 'prime' is so short you have to wonder whether he just fought a couple of great fights before reverting back to normality

I thoguht of that one too but couldn;t remember if it was one punch or a few. I remember that Hearns was beating on him and one punch turned it right around.

Riddick Bowe was one of the biggest dissapointments in US HW boxing. He got TKO'd in Seoul in the Olympic HW final by Lennox Lewis. From that day on Lennox had Bowe's #
Bowe & Rock Newman avoided Lennox like he had the plague.
Then they decided to hold a four man tournament to decide who the real champ was
Holyfield fought Bowe & Lewis fought Ruddock who was the fav to win it all. Then the two winners meet to decide who really was the Undisputed HW champ.
To his credit Bowe legitimately beat Holyfield. Lewis DESTROYED!! Ruddock
Seeing this Bowe & Newman immediately renaged on the Lewis fight & took to the hills

From that day on the rot had set in & Bowe self imploded . He always was scared shitless 0of Lennox Lewis

    In fairness Duran-Hearns was a couple(?) of knock-downs .
I also find the second Liston-Ali fight slightly dodgy.

Jersey Joe Walcott was also stupidly knocked out due to showboating against Louis and misjudging the ref's count in the second fight against Marciano.

You missed Charles-Walcott I and going way back Fitzsimmons-Corbett.

There is a place for Foreman-Ali too,but that was probably exhaustion and misjudgment more than anything else.

    Also Moorer-Foreman

Roy Jones Jnr can be added too,if you're being very unfair.
