OK, I would change it if I could; I accept my mistake. So "What is the realistic score of the Canelo Vs GGG trilogy?" If one of the moderators can change the voting to look like this: Canelo 3:0 GGG Canelo 2.5:0.5 GGG Canelo 2:1 GGG Canelo 1.5:1.5 GGG Canelo 1:2 GGG Canelo 0.5:2.5 GGG Canelo 0:3 GGG Thanks
GGG 2-1 Canelo. GGG easily won the first fight, won the 2nd fight with difficulty, easily lost the 3rd fight.
"Easily won" GTFOH, GGG didn't win anything, he was in the fight of his life in that first fight. Nothing easy about that. He was lucky to escape that one with a draw.
"Dominating" Canelo was slipping that jab all night, outboxing him, setting traps and making him with well timed counters. GGG "outworked" Canelo yes, but Canelo was more efficient and effective with his work. GGG worked Harder that fight but wasn't as effective as Canelo who woked smarter and was more effective. The rounds were very close, you know that. About the only round that GGG "dominated" was the jab was round 7.
Canelo 1 - Golovkin 2. However the 3rd fight was the most decisive win of the 3. It wasn't even close.
Yes the 3rd wasn't even close. GGG didn't really win either of the first two fights. Canelo performed better, landed the better shots, and inflicted more damage in each of the 3 matches. People trying to give GGG the first 2 fights on work rate is missing the plot. It's like giving a soccer team the win for taking more shots, or hitting the cross bar more times than your opponent. Yes GGG tried really hard, threw more punches but he didn't connect as well or as effectively as Canelo. If you have to choose between work rate and effective punching, choosing work rate is like giving someone a participation trophy. There shoud be an emphasis on clean effective punching and ring generalship. I know the first 2 fights were difficult to score, but you're making it seem like GGG won this trilogy which is utterly absurd. Canelo clearly won the trilogy with a decisive win in the 3rd fight. The first 2 fights are debatable at best for GGG. I know it's a tough pill to swallow, but GGG just couldn't get the job done in 3 attempts. Canelo was the better fighter each time. Canelo 3 - GGG 0. That's because GGG was expected to win the first fight, he was the overhyped KOing boogeyman, GGG was supposed to impose his will on Canelo, he was supposed to hurt Canelo, he was supposed to stop Canelo. That never happened, and Canelo performed way better than most expected him too. Sometimes a draw is a win when you're the underdog. GGG was unable to get the better of Canelo. I'm sorry but he never did get the better of Canelo in 3 attempts. Canelo got the better of GGG each time. That said, GGG gave a great effort in the first 2 fights and deserves credit for pushing Canelo as hard as he did. But you can't just hand a fight to a guy on work rate, on effort. He was not better than Canelo in any of these fight and deep down, ya'll know it, whether you want to admit it or not.
