Calzaghe - Lacy. The key word in the thread title here being "impressive".

I would agree it was one of the most impressive performances, not just this decade but of all time. I wouldn't say it rates so highly as an impressive win, simply because in hindsight Lacy turned out to be just an "also ran" and not half the prospect he was hyped up to be.
But as far as performance goes, it was brilliant and Joe boxed the perfect fight that night.

A P4P king in his prime, beating an old, semi-retired and seriously weight drained fighter ...is the most impressive win of the decade? :huh

Jones beating Ruiz (by far the most impressive and significant)

    -----------------

    Hopkins beating Trinidad (unfortunetly)

    Hatton beating Tszyu

A weird choice, considering you never stop saying how overrated/limited Pacquiao is.

Yeah, absolutely, I'm not trying to discredit the win, it was an excellent one. But the state Oscar was in, you have to take that into account.

Mosley over Oscar in their first fight. Two great fighters in the prime of their careers. Mosley undefeated and Oscar with only one loss that everyone considered a win over Trinidad anyways. Oscar had never truly been defeated either. They both performed great, close fight.... Mosley pulled it out with a great 12th round. Everything about that fight was great.

Hopkins over Trinidad is probably the best one, followed closely by his destruction of Pavlik.

However, his fight with Trinidad IMO was better. People expected Trinidad to walk over Hopkins...Hopkins beat him every second of every round like he was a C class fighter...

...on top of that...it is probably the most intelligent, tactically brilliant fight you will ever come across. Hopkins leads Trinidad all over the ring, the entire fight, setting little traps wherever he decided to. You could WATCH Hopkins thinking in there, planning exactly what he wanted to do to Trinidad...it was like he knew every move before it happened. I'm not sure Hopkins got hit with a punch the whole fight.

One of the most brilliant performances you'll ever come across.

Good choice. For Mosley to do that was pretty astounding. He was like a little energizer battery.

    Good choice.

If you take it in the context of the time, Lacy was steamrolling everyone in front of him...Calzaghe gave him the type of beating you never recover from. Brilliant peformance.
