Matthew Saad Muhammad landed a left uppercut that seemed to start around his
Left knee. It actually landed with devastating
results, the opponent was flattening, laid out flat on his back motionless. I thought he was dead when I saw it initially.
Can't remember the name of the opponent right now to save my life.

    That’s got to be it.

Not sure if my memory of it is exact, but the arc of the right hand Wilfred Benitez flatted Maurice Hope with was like a shot that orbited around the moon and came back to crater right on Hope’s jaw.

EDIT: Upon further review, it’s a laser-targeted punch on a perfect arc but it seemed like it came from deep right field. That swagger from Wilfred is priceless.

Some of the ones Foreman threw against Joe Roman when he had him against the ropes. Thank God they didn't land.

    Max Baer's saying hello.

If you think about it, it can’t really be wild if it lands and knocks the other fellow out.

It may not be taking the straightest, most technically correct route, but it is arriving at its intended destination.

This one is insane, it's 50 seconds in.

Shavers-Holmes II ... after Larry got up from the knockdown.

If you click the pause button at about 26 or 27 seconds in, Larry is ducking, and Earnie's glove is a good two feet over his head. In fact, Holmes would have to be about seven feet tall for that shot to land. :duh

I can't recall anyone ever throwing a punch at a man right in front of him and missing by FEET like that. Earnie's eyes had to be closed when he threw that.

Absolutely ridiculous miss. Earnie displayed zero finishing skills in this segment. It was one punch or nothing.

I forgot how bad that was. That was absolutely winnable right there, in that moment, if he could have just landed another flush bomb. But nope, he was aiming for Wilt Chamberlain or something.

I think Earnie was beyond exhausted at that point. He looked it.

You all might be familiar with the vision - I couldn’t find an isolated clip for it.

True, it was only sparring, but old timer Marty “Kid” Cutler launched the most ridiculous haymaker at Jack Johnson - Cutler’s execution could’ve easily been mistaken for an overarm bowling action in cricket.

Possibly a contrived miss for the cameras to make Johnson look good - but it really ended up only making Cutler look very bad. Lol.

I seem to remember Dennis Andries throwing one in his 2nd fight against Jeff Harding. It came from the cheap seats.
