Eubank was ahead in his last fight with Thompson and alot of the damage to the eye was caused in his first fight with Thompson 3 months earlier when Eubank floored Thompson and lost a close decision. Eubank was 3 points up on 2 cards as I recall.
Jones beat Sheika in 5 rounds after losing to Calzaghe and Sheika has just given Diaconu the former WBC LHW champ a hard fight. Diaconu has only lost to Pascal the current LHW champ in 2 hard fights.

I think the some of the ones that do come to mind to me are -

SR Leonard losing to H Camacho 5th round
Duran losing to W Joppy 3rd round
De La Hoya losing Pacquiao 8th round
Michalczewski losing to Tiozzo 6th round

That may be but Norton was HW Champ for a brief moment, gave Ali Hell (breaking his jaw) but was trapped in the corner with no escape taking brutal shots from a prime Gerry Cooney. That was a horrible beating Norton took all in the first rnd so I think it meets the criteria for the thread :good

Holmes DID NOT defeat Carl Williams "decisively". He won a close, controversial decision.

Just finished watching Marciano vs Louis. Now that was a very very sad sight. Louis was so flat footed plodding and slow, he couldnt slip a punch and could barely throw a decent right. :?

Norris-Leonard was very hard to watch, as was his comeback against Camacho.

    I also didn't enjoy Whitaker-Trinidad at all.
