What is the worst Canelo scorecard?

Mayweathee draw because that was in fact a shutout, but the Lara decision is a close second. Lara won clearly IMO.

 

The 114-114 vs Mayweather. Canelo might have won 2 rounds if you were being generous. He was punching gloves or air all night yet he was awarded a Draw? It was corruption at its finest.

 

The fmj draw was horrendous and the cotto blow out was troubling, the others could be argued successfully within a couple points either way

 

Not really. His frontfoot aggression versus Lara was pitifully ineffective. Proponents say he was landing on the body yet ignore the fact that any contact made was grazing, mitigated by Lara moving away from the shots, and in sheer volume (counting only CONNECTS, and generously including under that heading all of Canelo's body grazes) still amounted to far less than even Lara's own, admittedly, highly economical pot-shot jab output.

 

Trout is the MOST acceptable of the lot and was still poor.

 

The Floyd draw is the worst. There's more to be said for coming up with the wrong verdict than just the wrong score imo. I remember him beating Cotto by a pretty wide margin and having him beating the others close.

 

Numerically the Mayweather and Lara cards were on par, both about 6 sounds shift from reality.

No it doesn't. Change two rounds on the Lara card and it's reasonable.

 

trout and cotto scorecards are pretty bad but the lara one i had no issue with. lara would land some decent shots most rounds but for the other 2 minutes 30 he would literally RUN.

 

The Mayweather card. CJ Ross retired instead of go through a review. How any Canelo fan OR boxing fan can defend that is jock riding of the highest order.
