Well believe it or not it's a thing called opinion mate.
If everybody thought the same you wouldn't have a boxing message board.

People say that because it goes with the preconceived notions they had before the fight. Such as; Groves is chinny and can't handle Froch's power. Froch gets stronger as the fight goes on. Froch is too strong and Groves can't go a full 12 rounds without Froch eventually catching up with him and KOing him etc etc. It's the same thing Groves and Ward said about the BS notion of Froch being some super warrior terminator figure. If the roles were reversed people nobody would be defending the stoppage. If it was two boxers who you had never seen or heard of before, you wouldn't be defending the stoppage. Even if you think Froch would have KO'd him anyway that's still a complete guess. Nobody knows what could have happened. Groves could have survived the little onslaught and fought back to win on point. He could have knocked Froch out. There could have been a cut. Fouls, points deducted, a DQ, anything could have happened. Nobody knows and there are no guarantees.
And no, Goves didn't look that badly hurt. That's why so many people complained about the stoppage. If Groves had looked in really bad trouble, nobody would have complained. They would have said fair play, good stoppage.

I have now watched the 9th over and over again, there is no way that fight should have been stopped, froch was not landing at will and groves was fighting back. In fact you could argue, if the ref was trying to protect a fighter he could have stopped when he got up after the knockdown, of course it was the right decision not too, but if you were to compare the two.

I was even more disappointed by Froch after the fight had finished though, he acted with no class and his interview was very poor. In the long run this maybe a blessing in disguise for Groves, a lot of people will be cheering for him now. Met him in Kingston a few months back, told him I boxed at his rival club paddington all stars, top bloke!!

Don't read media bull**** - The journalists are always paid off with expensive hotel trips, gifts and fine dining.

Everyone I know who follows boxing here in the UK thinks Frotch is a tosser and Groves got robbed.

froch is ordinary. nothing about him spells greatness.

he was getting his ass beat by taylor...

    he loss to dirrell....

    he loss to kessler twice....

    he loss to ward....

and he was losing to groves until the ref saved him.

give it up brits. time to get on a different bandwagon.

Oh come on, he did NOT lose to Kessler.

Lennox Lewis was the true British champion.

Lewis was more of a true brit than Polish refugee Carl Froch.

most over here are saying that Groves was jibbed. you may get a few saying otherwise, but they're a very small minority.

does it make you feel better that a Candian/Jamaican beat that Yank Ass? why, because it hurts so much that a Brit went Yank spanking?

get over it. the Brits ruled the division back then. you had the the division for much longer than we did, but you don't see us crying like little girls with a sore ***** do you. :-(
