Brittley fanboys like to come up with "fun facts" and unimportant stats to make up for his relatively weak resume (compared to other top HWs of the era).

The important thing is to win fights against other top fighters in your weight class. It's better to come from the canvas to win, or have a come-from-behind KO, than to lose when you're winning on the cards.

"My god, Vitali was so good at winning rounds!"

LMAO....how about winning fights against real contenders? How many of those did he win? LOL.

Quitali's best win is over an inactive for a year, nearly 40 years old, overweight Corrie Sanders, and his other top wins are over Herbie Hide and the whale Kirk Johnson.

It's like baseball, while most people look at the important things for a hitter (OBP, batting average, RBIs, homeruns, slugging %, etc...), you can have some person saying

"well he has the greatest batting average ever with a guy on 2nd base with 2 outs against a right handed pitcher with a 4.67 ERA throwing a curveball when his team is behind by 4 runs".

Vitali Klitschko's most notable achievement is chosing good people to manage his career. He has also had more than his fair share of luck. If he ever had to get in the ring with a real opponent like Alexander Povetkin, his limitations would soon become clear to anybody.

This situation was quite unique though. It wasn't as if Vitali was simply his last opponent. It was that Lewis was taking before the fight about having at LEAST 4 more fights before considering retirement. Even after he fought Vitali, he was calling out Roy Jones, and trying to force Tyson back into the ring with him, even suing Tyson for not honoring the rematch clause in their contract. He promised Vitali a rematch, and even had Vitali go as far as to travel to London to see Lewis' personal doctor, to have his eye cleared. Lewis stated that he would fight Vitali, but didn't want to "waste his time because the eye wouldn't hold up"... even though Vitali ahd already been cleared by two other doctors. Vitali traveled to see Lewis' own doctor, and Lennox's doctor cleared Vitali to fight as well, saying that his eye had healed great. Lewis then used the excuse of "not having enough time to get ready for a december fight". He made this claim in August... which means that Lewis was actually saying that 4 months wasn't enough time to prepare for the fight. Then, he said that he would rematch Vitali if he was to beat Kirk Johnson. Vitali knocked out Kirk Johnson in the second round, and then Lewis dodged negotations again. After 8 months of Lewis sitting on the title and trying to get guys like Tyson and Jones in the ring, the WBC ordered that Lewis enter into negotiations with Vitali within 30 days or he would be stripped of his title. Lewis suddenly retired before the 30 days were up. That is rather suspicious if you ask me. I would bet my life that Lewis would have fought again if the WBC would have allowed him to rematch Tyson, if Tyson was willing to fight again. Hell, Mike was flat out saying that he wasn't ready to fight Lewis and Lennox was still trying to force him into the ring. This all coupled with the fact that the fans WERE BEGGING for a rematch, and Lewis stood to make insane amounts of money. Lewis said himself on a video interview with maxboxing that he was offered over 25 millions dollars for the rematch. Vitali had just given Lewis the fight of his life, and it was stopped in a manner that left nothing but question marks.

I will tell you what has always bothered me about Lewis. I don't hate the guy, but he is a hypocrite. He spent his entire career complaining about not getting his shot at the title against guys like Bowe. Ragging on Bowe for vacating his title rather than defend it against Lewis. Yet, when Lewis was the Unified, Undisputed Champion, he vacated the WBA title rather than fight his #1 contender Ruiz. He dropped his IBF title rather than fight his #1 contender in Byrd. And eventually dropped his WBC title rather than defend it against Vitali. It is Lewis' fault that these belts are fragmented, and he went and dropped EVERY SINGLE belt that he owned, rather than face his #1 contender. The same thing that he complained his entire career about.

For the record, I never claimed that Peter supporters will ride a gravy train, should he manage to beat Vitali, and that's assuming IF he beats Vitali. I only told Mendoza that if he intends to poor gravy on Peter fans, in the event that Klitschko beats him, that he had better be prepared to recieve the same treatment.

Also, I am not chearing for either fighter, but rather favoring Peter. He has more than enough advantages given Vitali's layoff and injury history to be given the benefit of the doubt. I'm not hoping for Vitali to get badly beaten or hurt, as I do not wish this on any former champion coming out of retirement.

Wlad UD12 Parkinson's. What top level fighter has Parkinson's ever actually beat? Parkinson's has been pounding away at Ali for decades and still hasn't stopped him. I will give Parkinson's credit, as I have never heard of Parkinson's being stopped either, but he has been feeding off bums for most of his career.

Backing out of 5 fights over 3 years, and after almost 4 years, is still able to come back and fight the champ right off the bat.

Injuries. However, if Vitlai wins a belt being off for 4+ years at age 37+, beating a champion in Peter who is #2 ranked and in his prime, and doing it with no warm up fights, people will forget the injuries.

Vitali would have beaten Povetkin worse than Wlad is going to beat him. Just watch and see.
