As soon as Canelo starts working Pauls ribcage area, it's over.

Jake Paul has been boxing more or less full time for 7 years now. It took Anthony Joshua 5 years from first going in the gym to Olympic Heavyweight gold (and a lot of that was part time), and just 9 years to the heavyweight title.

Ngannou had, what, 6 months? Not just to learn the fundamentals of boxing, but to unlearn all things he does in MMA that would be detrimental in boxing. He would have needed to change his stance, his guard, the way he throws punches, the way he moves around the ring, and much else besides.

Tyson was also a lot bigger than Ngannou, whereas Canelo is a lot smaller than Paul. Additionally, I assume Paul has been juicing heavily in a way that even Canelo would not dare for those 7 years.

That said, for all that I have listed above, Ngannou did at least look like a boxer, in a way that Jake Paul doesn't. So 6 of one, half a dozen of the other. They are both celebrity exhibition cherry-picks with a slim element of danger. It remains to be seen if Canelo will suffer the same public humiliation that Fury did

    a lot to unpack here.

first off, eh, rewatch the Ngannou fight. Fury started off weak but once he shook off a bit of rust, he was clearly and cleanly winning rounds. Was an absolute **** poor performance from him, but I think he did fairly win. People — like me — let him off the hook a bit because it’s obvious he just didn’t train. The Fury of either Usyk fight would win every round against Ngannou.

Canelo isn’t going to show up out of shape or fail to train. He’s a gym rat who is in shape year round. My personal hope is that he finds Paul to be offensive, trains harder than ever with the goal of showing up and defending the honor of professional boxing itself by obliterating Paul.

finally, you cannot compare a clown like Paul to a well accomplished, grizzled combat sports veteran like Ngannou. A former UFC champ stepping into a ring ain’t the same thing as a YouTuber doing it.

Ngannou is a human specimen. And an world champion combatant.

Atleast that was a credible spectacle. Disruptive to the heavyweight division and uncalled for. But Ngannou proved his worth by nearly beating Fury.

    Canelo is worse.
Canelo shouldn't ruin his career by fighting Paul.
Fury ruined his career before the Ngannou fight (and during the fight).

Canelo made the right decision. He is NOT fighting Jake Paul.
    :clap::clap2::clapclap:

If Jake Paul wants to enter himself into the Canelo sweepstakes, win a World Title Dude.

Canelo only fights real fighters. :qmeparto:

All over the place? No, you are just playing word games in a poor attempt to defend this. I mean, hell, you're still hung up on when I said 'not real boxer' or whatever. You're just playing some silly game since you have no real dog in defending this.

Hell, Canelo would whoop Tommy Fury!

Usyk is the best likes this.
